Question about LG Dryers
Our LG dryer DLE5977W goes completely through the sensor dry cycle and then restarts another cycle. I've read about stuck on 6 minutes, but that is not our case. It literally starts another 59 minute cycle all over again. When we discover this, the clothes are dry, and it does blow hot air, but we haven't yet watched it at the end of the first cycle to check the dry level of the clothes. I'm just not sure about this one.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I would like to thank the ones who responded to giving me a 'hand' in repairing my dryer. I did like you said & changed out the coils & now the dryer is working like it should.

OK, test the dryness sensor for its operational value. if the test confirms sensor function, you will need to replace the main PCB board in this case.
Now, if the sensor test reveals a faulty sensor device, simply replace the sensor. In most cases, this iwll be a fualty PCB main and, replacing it will usually fix this issue.

There is a humidity sensor (Hence the words Sensor Dry) inside the machine which trips out when it sees a lack of moisture in the air going past it.
It is not adjustable without special equipment
That sensor has failed and will need replaceing

We had this problem three times. First two times we just removed, cleaned and put back the moisture sensor (metal strips inside). The last time we did as well but it didn't help. We phoned to a service guy and he said unplug the power cord for 20-30 minutes. And it worked!
