Frs26h5as compressor wont run fan in freezer runs relay gud changed defrost time but still no power at compressor plug

The thing is, if the fan in the freezer is running the compressor should be running as well. Here are some questions you should answer in order to solve this problem. When you put the timer on did you do it correctly, I've seen guys have timers with a floating wire and put the wire on the wrong pin. I've also seen timers installed misaligned meaning they were one pin over so only three of the four pins were in. Next, did you check the cold control thermostat. This would kill the compressor but the fans as well. How do you know if the relay is good? Are you sure the compressor isn't getting power, it could be shot and not even trying to come on. A good test method is buy a rco-410 hard start relay. Once you have it, cut an old plug off something and leaving the plug intact, splice the two wires at the cut end with the two wires on thet really that don't have metal ends. Once that is done securly, unplug the fridgem take the really off the compressor and hook up the home made compressor tester. Once plugged in if the compressor is good it will come on, it it doesn't it's bad. This works becuase you remove any variables that are present with the machine hooked up normal.

How to install RCO410 in a maytag PTB1953GRQ

First I would probably use a RCO 810 on that machine. Also there is a diagram on the back of the package the shows you where to put the common, start, and run lead on the compressor, if it is a embraco compressor invert the diagram to match the stud coming off compresser. Maytag RF generally uses a blue wire for the line voltage and white as neutral, disgrad the wires going to the capcitor which should leave you with two wires left use the wire caps to wire those to the 2 black wire for your RCO

My frigidaire had a burning smell that woke me up this morning. smelled like burning rubber. I pulled it out, cleaned behind it. The compressor would go on every 5 minutes or so for about 10 seconds then...

Start relay and overload. This is a pretty easy fix. Unplug fridge remove back access panel by compressor. Disconnect the start relay and overload attached to compressor. Pay attention to how they come off so you can put new ones on. Disconnect wires going to RCO (start relay overload) all you should see on the compressor now is 3 pegs in a triangle sometimes upside down triangle. This is important when putting new ones on or you can mess up the compressor. Put RCO together exactly how the old ones are and put on compressor exactly how old ones came off. Reconnect your wires and plug compressor in. The compressor should start right away some models it can take up to 30 seconds unless the fridge is in defrost than wait until defrost cycle ends. The start relay is called the PTC relay and the overload is the protector/ protect relay. You need to buy both parts. Any questions please reply.

Model.75083400 will not cool there is a clicking

If it is in the first year of warranty you should let a authorized service person repair it.. However if it is a click of about thirty seconds to a minute and you can remove the back cover to determine it is the compressor making the noise and not running you might want to try installing a hard start. The supco RCO-410 or RCO-810 are fairly universal parts and come with instructions and a picture on the package. Unplug when installing, if it works, wait a few days to make sure..........

I need a start relay for a Kenmore (Danby)

Hi, I'd personally just go and put in a aftermarket start relay and overload. Look up part # IC41 or IC81, or even a rco/hs810. it's been a while since I've used them, but they work. Unless the unit is under warranty there's no consiquence. If you have warranty, these parts will void said coverage. Good luck, hope that helps
