JVC MX-GT88 sound system showing protected them shut off why

Chances are that something is blown in the power output stages and units shuts down to protect against further damage.

Repair or replace, which ever is cheaper!

Connect JVC MX-GT88 speakers to a differant reciever

If it has a bi-amp, you can connect the speakers to it. By the amplifier, if it's a stereo with bi-amp, be sure that it has at least 400 watts and up in order for the speakers to turn out great, if a receiver like a integrated amplifier, it may have like 2-10 connections, you can connect the speakers all together if it has more than 3 connections, if below 3, you may need to take the speakers apart and make it 3 way by connecting one wire to the tweeter, another wire from the tweeter to the main or mid speaker then one more wire from the main or mid speaker to the sub.

Need a maual for JVC MX-D302T

JVC has the manual available for the MX-D302T here: http://www.jvc.co.uk/files/instruction_manual/ib_mxd302.pdf . This is a PDF so you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read/print the file. You can special order a print copy of the manual and the remote from http://www.partstore.com/Model/Matsushita/JVC/MXD302T.aspx . Scroll down to find them in the parts list.

If you want to order the remote separately, remotes.com has a substitute remote from JVC for sale: http://remotes.com/store/jvc/mxd302t.html . Amazon also has a replacement remote available: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Remote-Control-Replacement-JVC-MXD302T/dp/B005LQA4JK .

I hope this helps.

Can i attach my phone to my jvc mx-D301t in anyway?

Any audio device that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except one labeled "PHONO"). Get a cable like the one described here: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2
and connect it into any available analog input on ANY audio device EXCEPT one labeled "Phono".

My JVC mx-gc5 stereo says protect and then shuts off

If protect is coming up on the display, it means the system is detecting a short somewhere on one of the speakers and so is turning the amp off to avoid damage.
Check all the connections at the back of the amp to ensure they are not shorting, and at the back of each speaker, if nothing is found there, check each wire for damage (like squashed or rodent damage).

Troubleshoot auxiliary equipment

There is no Phono input on your JVC.

What TT are you trying to hook up? If it's a traditional one you would need a preamplifier to boost the tiny signal from the cartridge to a suitable level for the AUX to use.

If you have an old traditional receiver with a Phono section hanging around you could rig something up between it and your JVC.

Plug the TT into Phono on the old receiver. Run RCA cables from any Tape REC output to the AUX. Done.
