Change your RAM and then check the power supply is working correctly. A failed lead in the power supply can give the symptoms you describe.

No display problem for intel D865GSA board

What are you formatting ? Have you changed the RAM. Does tour system work in its original configuration ? You do not say what the pattern of the beeps is. Before the display disappears, is there a message sent to the screen ?
From the manual
http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d865gsa/sb/d5600601us.pdf

Whenever a recoverable error occurs during POST, the BIOS displays an error message

describing the problem (see Table 53). The BIOS also issues a beep code (one long

tone followed by two short tones) during POST if the video configuration fails (a faulty

video card or no card installed) or if an external ROM module does not properly

checksum to zero.

An external ROM module (for example, a video BIOS) can also issue audible errors,

usually consisting of one long tone followed by a series of short tones. For more

information on the beep codes issued, check the documentation for that external

device.

There are several POST routines that issue a POST terminal error and shut down the

system if they fail. Before shutting down the system, the terminal-error handler issues

a beep code signifying the test point error, writes the error to I/O port 80h, attempts

to initialize the video and writes the error in the upper left corner of the screen (using

both monochrome and color adapters).

If POST completes normally, the BIOS issues one short beep before passing control to
the operating system.

Display probelm

After reading your issue,i am sure that there is problem with your motherboard.
as you cannot see anything on screen and you get power, that means your motherboard is faulty
so just get your motherboard replaced and it will be fine as before

Intel dg31pr mother board why dont show display?

First check your num lock led if it on and off when you press num lock key then your cpu is ok.
Then therer is issue with monitor to cpu loose connection
or
Screen resolution problem.
For that when you power up press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode.then go to control panel and dispaly then settings then change screeen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
Aslo reconnect connection from monitor to cpu vga port.
Also check in bios some times your harddisk is not detected proeprly.
If problem still remains open cpu cabinet and reconnect data cable and power cable to harddisk.
Refix RAM memory.
Pull cmos cell for 15 minutes then check.
Thanks for using fixya.
Pls rate solution if it help you .

Black screen even the power is ok!!

Your Intel D850MV motherboard uses an AGP video card. There is no onboard video (built into the motherboard). Before replacing the video card try swapping out your monitor with another. Check for display. When the system is powered on can you hear the internals running? If the swapped out monitor does not show display you'll have to replace the AGP video card. The Intel D850MV motherboard only supports AGP cards that run at 1.5volts only & can run at 2x or 4x speed. Intel shows the difference between compatible 1.5v AGP card connector & the 3.3v non compatible video card connector. Click on the Intel link to see this; http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/cs-009010.htm This next link shows a compatible AGP video card that will replace your old card; http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4116644&csid=ITD&body=MAIN#detailspecs Thanks for using fixya

No display on screen and solid amber light on pcs' power button

Well hate to say it but that sort of problem results from a faulty motherboard or processor so if you say that you have changed the motherboard then you problem lies with you processor chip.

No display on screen and solid amber light on pcs' power button

it seems to be an issue with the power supply as you already tried replacing the motherboard
power supply will be less expensive do try to get it replaced first

do check that monitor iss fine
unplug the blue VGA cable which connects your monitor to the tower
if a 4 colored box moves all over the screen the monitor is fine
and if it doesn't
get the monitor either repaired or get it replaced.
