Question about Pioneer CDJ-800 Turntable
When i power up the cdj it ejects the disc. when i put a disc in i can hear i spin a little and then it ejects! i have changed the laser and its housing and it still dosnt work! can some please help me ive already spent 80 on fixing it and i still have no results!
Well, the optical pickup is not able to read the disk. First off, did you use ESD protection when you installed it? If not, it may already be damaged. Yes, sounds like a damaged reader/tray. This is not an easy fix. Although there is no soldering involved, it's sort of like a car. In order to get to the engine, you have to remove a whole lot of other sections first. Often times when you put it back together, you'll find yourself with some extra pieces you didn't have when you started. With that said, I do not suggest you do this yourself, unless you are completely 100% confident in your ability. Or, get some help.
The part is available HERE - at the cost of $49.99

If a new laser does not work, there should be a small ball of solder applied at the factory shorting the static sensitive laser diode. Find that and unsolder it after grounding yourself and your soldering pen.
