SOURCE: hi, i bought cuisinart ice-21

Hi,
It sounds like the step-down transformer is running just beyond its capacity, and so shuts down when the load gets too high. A load peek may also occur when cooler turns on.

Can you please post the power ratings of both your Maker and the transformer please ( AMPs or Watts or VA)

Why does machine have 2 cords and 2 cord caps

Because of the amount of energy it requires. It was set up for a non 220V location. Plug each cord set into a different circuit.

Mains voltage in Australia is 230V 50Hz. Travellers from most nations in Asia, Africa and Europe should have appliances that work on the same mains voltage as Australia - therefore you will not need a voltage converter. Notable exceptions to this are Japan, USA and Canada which uses 100/120V 50/60Hz.
If your country does not use appliances within the 230V 50Hz mains voltage range, you will need to purchase a voltage converter. This will transform the voltage from the power outlet into one your appliance can use. You will also need a power adapter.

Taylor 8756. Electrical service too high???

This is your problem! There are solutions available for this problem. I recomend a Buck and Boost Transformer. You will have to purchase one sized correctly for your machine. Be prepared to spend a little money as they are not exactly cheap. Get the transformer from a local electrical supply company. Take them all the information on the data plate and your existing voltage readings. They should be able to determine what you need. The buck and boost can be wired to "buck" down the voltage to a more suitable voltage for your machine. You need to be within the electrical range stated on the machine or you will continue losing controls etc. This can be very expensive as well. Please note: you will need a skilled technician to wire and install the buck and boost transformer. They can be complicated.

I have the DAK Gellatissimo machine with Broken Belt as well

The following Gates belt will work. Its called Poly power chain belt which is metric and just under 12 inches with 60 teeth. Just Google the number and you will find several suppliers online. Costs around $24 which is cheap to fix such a great machine.

If you are wiring a Taylor machine to three phase power and you have a "wild leg" or "high leg" you must place the high voltage leg on L3. This will keep the higher voltage out of the control circuits of the machine. To clarify what a high leg is, it is created in three phase applications where a certain type of transformer is used. It creates two normal power legs, 110-120 and one leg that is only useful with another leg of power. If measured to nuetral or ground a wild leg will measure considerebly higher than the other legs. Hope this is helpful
