HP Laser Jet CM1312 MFP internal error 0x50

Did the Ox50 error have any additional information with it or happen only with network printing?

Frequently, this error is associated with a font being sent to the printer with the PCL 6 (printer control language). The temporary fix is to turn the printer off and then on (to clear its memory).

Next try going to the Printing preferences by right clicking on the printer in the Printers control panel. (For XP, click Start > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. In Win7, click Start > Devices and Printers (or Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > View Devices and Printers). Then right click on the LaserJet CM1312 icon and select the Printing Preferences. Go to the Advanced tab and change the Print Data Optimization option from Advanced to Optimize for Text and Vector.

If this doesn't work, uninstall the printer (right click again). Then reinstall the network printer using the PCL 5 universal printer driver. All of the drivers are available here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3558903&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3558902&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=4063 . The PCL 5 driver is the last one in that section.

If the printer is connected to one computer via a USB connection and then that computer is the printer server for the others, you may need to disconnect USB cable and uninstall both the universal print driver and the regular printer driver. Then reinstall them in the opposite order.

I hope this helps. Please add additional information about the error for more assistance.

Xerox workcentre pro 55 pcl xl error

We have a WorkCentre 7655 that has been working fine for ages but is now causing some issues. A user who is running Windows 7 32 bit edition is sending files to print (using the secure print function) - the system is reporting they have spooled fine to the printer - but when they go and release the document they are getting (more often than not) about 16 out of 21 pages (for example) and then a PCL XL Error (Subsystem: Text, InternalError 0x50, Operator: Text, Position: 8564). I have another document that 9 times out of ten will actually crash the WorkCentre completely and cause it to reboot mid way through printing.

The driver we are using is the latest: "Xerox WorkCentre 7655 rev 2.0 PCL6"

As mentioned the user is running Windows 7 - the printer is shared from a Windows 2003 Server which has the same version of the driver.

System we have here at work has BSOD 2x with xeskmdrv.dll error 50 blue screen - lookin for reason/solution on this

As you probably know, this is a Xerox printer module. Below is more info on Stop 50 but in general, you might try reinstalling the printer with the latest drivers.
Stop 0x00000050 or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

The Stop 0x50 message indicates that requested data was not in memory. The system generates an exception error when using a reference to an invalid system memory address. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause Stop 0x50 messages.

Possible Resolutions:

• If you added new hardware recently, remove and replace the hardware to determine if it is causing or contributing to the problem. Run diagnostics software supplied by the hardware manufacturer to determine if the component has failed.

• Stop 0x50 messages can also occur after installing faulty drivers or system services. If the file name is listed, you need to disable, remove, or roll back that driver. If not, disable the recently installed service or application to determine if this resolves the error. If this does not resolve the problem, contact the hardware manufacturer for updates. Using updated drivers and software is especially important for network interface cards, video adapters, backup programs, multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, and CD mastering tools. If an updated driver is not available, attempt to use a driver from a similar device in the same family. For example, if printing to a Model 1100C printer causes Stop 0x50 errors, using a printer driver meant for a Model 1100A or Model 1000 might temporarily resolve the problem.
