How to set GE 15145 Box Timer, Mechanical Indoor?

http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15145
This timer is link a 24 hour clock. It rotates once each 24 hours.
Dial is marked with hours
The silver part of dial is for daylight hours 6 am 6 pm, and dark part of dial is for evening hours 6 pm to 6 am.
Put on-off trippers on dial at hours you want timer to operate.
Trippers should be marked with on and off
Below the dial... notice the words OFF ON and TIME are printed.
OFF and OFF correspond to the position of override lever. The override lever clicks back and forth between on and off as the trippers pass.
The word Time is printed inside a triangle that is pointed at the dial.
To set dial to current time, manually rotate dial until current time lines up with TIME.
So if it is 8:30 at your home, then rotate dial arouund until 8:30 lines up with TIME.

How to set the clock using 24 hr and 12 hr clock

Copy following link to identify timer and download possible manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#oval
Add comment and describe timer in detail.
Usually if a timer offers choice between 24-hour clock with 1-thru-24 displaying for current time, vrs 12 hour am- 12 hour pm, then the choice is first thing you set before programming. The choice is made before setting current time, and usually this is accomplished with single button push that toggles between 12 and 24 on the display.
The product manual has specific steps.
Not every timer offers 12-24 choice.
Again, add comment and describe timer in detail, or attach photo for best available resources.

How to set a GE outdoor timer product ID 51587 ?

GE 51587 has same instructions as Tork 601A single-outlet outdoor 24-hour mechanical timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Tork-601A-Manual.pdf

Plug timer into outdoor outlet.
To set current time, rotate dial clockwise until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial.
Dial is divided into light and dark sections that represent day or nighttime hours.
Reset time after power outage.

96 pins located around timer dial are used to set on-off times.
Each pin represents 15 minutes in 24 hour day
Move pins in-or-out with fingernail or pen to set timer on-off functions.
With GE timers, usually when pins are out, timer is ON.
When pins are in, timer is OFF.

Set multiple ON/OFFs each day.
Timer repeats every 24-hours.

Manual ON/TIMER switch located on inner dial.

Set override to timer for program to operate.
To override time and turn on Load, move override to ON position.

I have ge model 15119 24 her timer and need help on how to set

GE 15119 timer is a 24-hour plug-in dial-type timer.
Dial rotates as time passes.
Plastic segments located around outer edge of dial control on-off operations.
Each segment represents 30 minutes of 24-hour day.

Timer comes with segments down.
Each segment can be lifted up using small screwdriver under edge of segment.

Segments down, timer is ON.
Segments up, timer is OFF.
So if you want timer to turn on at 7pm and turn off at 11pm, then lift all segments around dial except segments between 7 and 11.

geno_3245_126.jpg

Dial is divided into two parts > day and night.
Nighttime hours are shown by numbers with dark background >> notice small crescent moon where 12 midnight is located.
Daylight hours are shown by numbers with light background, and sun symbol shows at 12 noon

To set current time, so timer knows what time it is right now:
Rotate dial clockwise until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial.

There is override switch located on one side of timer.
Move switch to Timer ON position and timer program will function.
If you want to turn lights ON using override switch, move switch to OUTLET ON.

Last steps:
Turn lamp on.
Plug lamp into timer.
Plug timer into wall.

Gas ignites after 15 minutes Takes too long

Hi,

THis is due to the issue with the ignitor..

The ignitor takes 15 minutes long to ignite beacuse the current drawn by the ignitor is less than the 3.2 Amps, THe ignitor current should be more than 3.2Amps to enable ignition quickly..

I would recomment to change the ignitor to solve your issue..

Please rate this solution
Thanks

My battery drains if the car sits for more than 24 hours without running.

Somewhere, you have a subsystem in the car with a short that is causing your battery to drain. The way to narrow this down is this:

Get a 12-volt light bulb (any bulb from a turn signal or something to that effect will work), and solder a wire onto each lug on the bottom. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of your battery, and place the bulb inline with it, so that it is "cable - bulb - battery" (connect one bulb wire to the neg battery cable, and the other to the neg battery terminal). The bulb should light up. This is because you have current being drawn through the car.

Now, go to the fusebox, and take out the fuses for the radio, the car's computer, and the clock (since these all have current drawn at all times). Now of the remaining fuses, remove one fuse at a time. Check the bulb each time - if it stays on, the fuse you have just pulled is not in the circuit with the drain. Put the fuse back and move to the next one. If you pull a fuse, and the bulb goes out, you've just broken the conduction circuit - you've found the system in the car that is responsible for the current draw, and have stopped it by pulling the fuse and opening the circuit. Whichever system or systems that fuse is intended to safeguard, that is where you must now troubleshoot.

I know it's only a partial solution, but it'll get you into the neighborhood of where the problem is, and once you get there, post up some more info and maybe we can take it further and figure out the problem.
