Starting problems dixie chopper

I have bought 2 new batteries in the last two months for my dixie chopper. when the battery is new i can crank up and mow for two to three weeks. and then the battery is drained. i have taken the battery back to interstate battery and battery plus both have told me the battery was good it just needed to be charged. My last try i was able to mow and then when i turned the mower off and tryed to re-crank the starter or relay just buzzed like and would turn the engine over. Can you help does this sound like a starter problem or some kind of relay problem?

Yes there is. I don't know from your description whether or not this has a
OHV engine. but if it does this is a common problem. over time the valves
get out of adjustment. thus causing hard starting. the valve lash will have to be adjusted to specs. what happens is the (ACR) automatic compression
release fails to open the exhaust enough thus causing hard starting.
and it kills batteries and starter gear teeth.

If you hear the PTO click when you turn the ignition on, sounds like the PTO button is pulled out like you were engaging the blades. The engine will not start if the PTO button is pulled out....

My dixie chopper silver eagle will not stay running when i try to engage to mow. What could be causing this?

Put your machine up in the air, perhaps up on some ramps, and get underneath of it and check the belts and pulleys.
I am suspecting a seized pulley due to a bad bearing that stops the drive belts from turning.
God bless your efforts.

Dixie Chopper 2460 Magnum got done with mowing I noticed an error message on my small display panel saying "Oil Low" or "Change Oil." added enough oil to show full mower will not respond to starting.

Probably seizing up from running low on oil. And or the rings are worn out from low oil. These are splash fed so keeping oil level up is a must!!

How to change engine deck belt on a 2006 Dixie chopper mower

there isn't such a thing... it's either a hydro (motion) belt or the deck drive belt. Dixie's also sometimes had 2 belts for the deck... the drive belt and the blade belt. your model number should be under the seat

How to get a dixie chopper repair manual

Don't seem to find a 27060 classic. The only classic available is a 2760 or 2760T or 2760W.

Best to go to this Dixie Chopper support site and select the model carefully. You may not find a service manual but depending on what you may want to repair, the parts manual may be sufficient.

Help! Changed battery but still don't work for a long time

you probably have a short in the amplifier under the driver's seat. I had the same problem. Bought mine used, but the amp had water damage due to the vents for it on the left side of the driver's seat letting in water, probably snow or something that fell in there. Was $1200 to replace. Basically your car will be fine for a couple weeks, maybe a month then the battery will die.

Where is the battery located on the dixie chopper silver eagle

The location of the battery depends on the particular model of the Dixie Chopper Silver Eagle line. All 50" and 60" Silver Eagle machines have the battery located under the seat. All 34" and 44" Silver Eagle machines have the battery located directly under the muffler and main frame between the support brackets in the battery case.

Hi there please reset the camera 1st . THen pair your battery with your camera. Go in menu then battery type option. Select the type of a battery. After that save the setting. Now try . If you face the same problem then the camera internal power transformer are damaged or week. So you need to replace that transformer after that it will start work properly. You use that camera so long, that's why there is a chance of that damaged. Thanks if its helpful then rating me.

Was mowing, shut it off for 1 minute. won't crank now. slight clicking at solenoid, that's all. tried new battery, new solenoid, new ign switch. all safety switches are bypassed except for clutch

make sure battery has correct Cold Cranking Amps -- 275 or more is probably better. May also have to replace starter.

I had the same symptoms, and it turned out the battery's cold cranking amps were to low, and I burned out the starter cranking it over with such a week battery.
