It sounds like an IC fault. Six
blinks - No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking self-diagnosis
function immediately. Check C515 & 516 and the jungle IC, IC206. If you wish to get more details about the blinking codes to Sony Trinitron, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up previous posts there, either by type
in the model name to your set in its search box, or view it in Mosaic
/Timeslide option.

Unfortunately, what you're describing is a repair issue. You won't be
able to address the problem with troubleshooting. There is a part
inside the TV that needs to be replaced. If you're under warranty,
this will cost you nothing. If you're not under warranty the cost
will likely be a minimum of $200 parts and labor. However, be warned
that the cost could be considerably higher.

1. Place set on flat solid surface (garage floor or driveway).
2. Bang into it with SUV 3 or 4 times.
3. If set fails to respond, crush against garage wall or drive over it
