Hi, my house alarm ready light is not on since I opened the anti tamper box, when the box opened the alarm went off, I put in the entrance code number, the alarm went quiet, since then the ready light

Hi Terry,
Most alarm systems require you to reset the tamper alarm.
Most systems will reset the tamper simply by arming the system and then immediately disarming the system. However, you MUST make sure that the Tamper circuit you tripped is closed. If you removed the cover on the panel, make sure the tamper switch for the cover is in the correct position and that the cover is pressing the switch and closing its contacts. If you are trying to arm the panel with a cover off, the tamper circuit will not reset unless you defeat the tamper switch. Just make sure you remove the defeat when you replace the cover. You may also wish to try a google search on the type and model of panel you have so you can download a copy of the manual to check on the reset procedure. We also need to know what brand and model the panel is so we can help you further..

Verifone VX 680 tampered

The tampered message usually means that the terminal is not in its original state, possibly disassembled during refurbishment. Although you'll probably not be able to clear the message permanently, you should still be able to use the terminal. Keep pressing the red cancel key until the soft pay menu appears. If that doesn't work, the terminal may need to be replaced. Also, try unplugging the terminal and then pressing the F2 and F4 keys together while reconnecting the power. This should bring you to the system mode menu. Password is 1 alpha alpha 66831. Once in the system mode menu, you should be given an option to restart the device. Not guaranteeing this will work, but it has for me in the past.

Tampering detected 20000

Verifone units has multiple sensors built inside for security reason. If you acceidentally dropped or jarred the unit, the sensors will kicked-in and give that error that you have now. And i'm also thinking about your internal system battery is getting low too and needs to be replaced. Then we need to reload the Verifone Tamper Removal Software to clear the Tamper error. Tamper error can be cleared, if you still need help you can call us @ (775) 358-2922 ask for Randy. Hope to hear from you. thank you.

I am getting the message "Tampered Device Press any key" message. Is there a tamper fix?

Unfortunately there is no Tampering solutions other than sending them back out to an authorized manufacturer for them to reset the Tampering switches on the machine and reset or repair the software in the machine. These machines have a multitude of tamper switches that can be set off by a jolt to the system from being dropped or from power surges and such. Sensitive equipment that requires a gentle hand to keep them running nice and smooth

I have a verifone nurit 8020, When i go to reset the password, The machine says "Tampered Device Press any key REPLACE PAPER press any key" Is the machine still usuable? Thanks for your help guys.

To make it useable we need to remove the tamper first. Nurit OSP Loader is the the program we use to remove the TAMPER error. Replacing the internal battery and reloading a fresh NOS (nurit operating system) will remove the error. Check our website at freshpoint.org or cal us if you can at (775)358-2922 . It can be fixed, you don't need to replace it. thank you.
hope this help : - )

I put a new back door on the house put the sencor back the same way but the alarm says bach door tamperd HELP!

Mahe sure that the cover is installed properiy.
there is a tamper switch in the sensor and if the cover is nit properly installed it will not activate the tamper switch.
if you still have trouble try this. remove the cover in the sensor and press the tamper switch and hold it ask someone to go to the keypad and enter there code as to disarm the system your tamper trouble should go away. if it does put the cover back on and disarm your system. let me know

How can I solve the problem **tamper** in Verifone Vx510?

Verifone has a built in safe-guard against tampering. There are certain things that can cause the new Vx Series of terminals to display this error - from someone actually tampering with the terminal, to a physical drop or jarring of the terminal.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the ONLY way for a terminal to be unlocked when displaying "Tamper" is to send it into an authorized service center. I have many of these devices in the field for customers and have dealt with this issue a few times - unfortunately, that's the only way Verifone set it up for this error to be resolved.

Sorry for the bad news, but hope it helped!
