Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Tips on getting a quick reply on Fixya

There are thousands of posts waiting to be solved here on Fixya and the fact is some of them never will be. Not because we just won't get around to it but because there simply is not enough information in the post to understand the problem.

When posting here on Fixya it is important to remember that product information is vital to receiving an accurate solution. If you give a general problem you will receive a general answer.

For example, a post that says " I need a driver for my Gateway laptop" contrary to this "I need the XP wireless. driver for Gateway MX6446" The first post would receive a general answer on how to download Gateway drivers the second post would receive a direct link to that specific driver.
Always include the product model, model number and operating system this will ensure you receive the correct resolution in a timely fashion.

While you are waiting for your answer you can always type your question into Google the cliick advanced (located to the right of the search button) then scroll down to "Search within a site or domain:" and type in fixya.com then search. This will show answers relating to your question on Fixya.

Hello...i will be on my honeymoon, so my fiance will have her period.can you suggest me how to delay it?

Sounds like you are quoting a question that someone else posted and then you are providing the answer in the 'Further Details' box. This is not the way Fixya works. You must provide the answer to the original question otherwise the original poster will never see it, and certainly won't get the notification as they would if you replied to the OP. Fixya receives thousands of posts a day, so your answer will be lost. Furthermore, you posted the answers to document Scanners!

To answer the question. The doctor will prescribe a course of birth control pills to be taken about a week before the wedding. This will delay ovulation for 28 days after the first pill is taken.

Hi Mike,

When your question gets an answer you will be notified via email and also receive a notification on the website. To have a better chance at receiving an answer, make sure to provide as many details as possible so Fixya experts will have the information they need to provide a helpful answer.

Hope that helps!

How many levels of escalation are there on fixya

Escalate is a process on FixYa that ensures each and every question you ask receives the attention it deserves.
When you ask a question on FixYa it initially goes to our Level 1 Experts. If these experts do not have an answer they can immediately escalate it to our Level 2 Experts, who have more experience solving problems on FixYa and are more likely to have your solution. This same process occurs when Level 2 Experts escalate a question to Level 3.
Questions can also be escalated by time-- if your question has not received an answer three hours after being posted it will automatically be escalated to Level 2; no answer after 12 hours of being posted will automatically escalate your question to Level 3.

I emailed a question and paid. How will I receive the answer to my question. I logged into the site and don't see an option to access the answer.

Hello,
There does not seem to be any other question for this account. You would have to re-post the initial question and once someone has answered the question you will receive a notification via email from FixYa.
You can also go to http://www.fixya.com/MyActivity.aspx once logged in to see all activity including answers to any questions if any.
Best Regards, Ben

When can I expect to receive an answer to my question concerning my HP Officejet 6310 All-In-One? The question was sent 8.03.2011. at 11.15 p.m.(Local Danish time) Regards Jesper Innes

It depends on the type of question you've posted. If it was a premium question and you've paid for the same then hopefully you might have received it on the same day you've posted. Usually, a premium question will be answered within an hour. If I am not wrong, it must be a premium question. If you have problem finding the answer, login to FixYa.com, click the "My FixYa" on the upper top corner of the page, click "My Activity" and then click your problem related to your printer and check for the answer.

Actually, if a user receives answers or comments, an email regarding the comment/answer is sent to the user's email address as a notification. Check your email address and see whether you've got any notification about the problem you've posted or not.

Also, at the time when you login to your fixya account, you will see a ribbon with "View " or similar button will be displayed on the top of the page, if you find this, simply click it and you'll be directed to the page.

Let me know if you need further help.

Good Luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

FIXYA NOT PAYING PEOPLE?!

Unknown. I stopped answering the Premium questions as it seemed there were so many people jumping on them. I find I get more satisfaction in the freebie areas.
Do you have any where you were given the credit for it and not received money? I can't help but wonder if they think they get the money just for posting an answer as opposed to posting THE answer the customer selected? Interesting to find out about this even if I'm not in it for the bucks.
