CD Mecha error message - Honda Odessey

There are several reasons why your CD changer may have failed but the most common is simply a mechanical failure (gears/motors/etc.) Unfortunately, these are complex machines and typically do require an electronic technician to repair the problem but the good news is they are repairable. So, you have a couple of options: replace the unit with an aftermarket, which for your car I would not recommend, or repair it. Hello, is your unit a Single CD or CD-6? Unfortunately, this is probably not something that you can repair yourself. It usually requires quite a bit of disassembly and bench testing to figure out and fix the problem.

Hello, the problem you are having with your CD6 is common. Usually requires a rebuild of the CD mechanism, not something that can be done at home unfortunately.
