I have (7) 20W bulbs on a newly wired line running on a brand new 200W Malibu transformer, worked fine for 2 days and now it's tripping the reset button - Any suggestions ??

1) Copy following link for malibu power pack tips for longer transformer life:

2) Two plug choices on each outlet, Plug power pack into other outlet on receptacle.
Inspect for damage on outdoor outlet.
Replace outdoor outlet, and do not use quick connects. Connect wire directly to screws on side of device.
Replace GFCI outlet.

My 2003 Mercury Mountaineer has an electrical problem. It started about a year ago with the key fob not working, I have bought 3 and all won't work even after re-programing. now tonight I went to

Could be a windshile leak down the A-Pillar & water
gets into the delayed accy relay for the GEM Module
(Body Computer as ford called it for a few years) & you
get what you have now

Try Goolge as I did a few weeks ago for a relative
He had the same issue with the blower being on &
killing the battery

No real fix I found for the windshield leak
Seem a robot didn't put the rubber sealant
on correctly at the factory fo about 5 years
on several fords.

If it isn't water related then the GEM Module
controls all those body features

If you get a used one & match up the numbers,
you supposedly can avoid buying a reman gem
& the expense of having to reflash it to your factory
built combination

Hello? I have an existing outlet controlled by a switch with a red wire that works fine. I'm trying to swap it with new Pass & Seymour 15A CRB5262wcp6 (10-pack white) using the wiring the exact...

I am guessing this is a normal either 15a or 20a duplex recepticle and not a GFCI. When you removed the old outlet, and, if you still have it you can look at it, you should have had a black wire that hooked to the botom(gold) hot side terminal and a red wire that hooked to the upper(gold) hot side terminal. This is the side where you would have wanted to break the tab off. They can be hard to get a hold of and break completely off. It would be gold in color also, shaped kind of like a horseshoe, where you have to get in there with a scribe or small screw driver to pry on it enogh to grab it with a pair of needle nose pliers or strippers. If you did not break this tab completely off or, at least break the connection between the two outlets then, your switch won't shut off because it's double fed and can't. In the event that you broke the tab of the neutral side, only one outlet will work because you'll be missing the neutral on one of the outlets and, it still won't turn off because it's double fed. If you have the old oultlet, you can compare the old and new one and, you should be able to see where the tab had been broken off the old one. Someone with electrical expierience in say like Home Depot could point out the tab you need to break. You colud have had more than one white(neutral) wire in your box but they can either be split between the two neutral(silver) terminals or, tailed, and hooked to one, providing you did not break the wrong tab off. Of course the ground wire is pretty much self explanitory.

Plug a light into the outlet used for the A/C, if the light does not come on when reset then the circuit breaker that provided the power to the outlet need to be reset or replaced.
