My 2 and a half year old just poured water into the almost full fuel tank of the walking behind lawn mower. I haven't started it yet.what do I do? Your help will be most appreciated.

Remove the fuel pipe from the fuel tank to the carb, draining the tank into something that can be disposed of. You haven't started it so damage will be minimal. Once drained, if you don't have to use it, leave the fuel cap off for a day or so to allow the tank to dry out, But you could just refill with fresh fuel and give it a run if you need to. :)

When draining a fuel tank do the drain us need to be replaced or can you reuse the same one

Feul tanks do not come with a drain plug. The only way to drain a fuel tank today is to remove it. Removing a fuel tank is a dangerous thing if you do not know all the safety procedures.

Fire extinguisher on hand rated for a fuel type of Fire.

No open flames, and a well ventilated area.

Jack and jack stand And chocks to prevent vehicle from moving.

Brass punch for removing tank locking ring no sparks.

Additional blocks to be placed on jack to hold tank.

An extra person to help in lowering the tank.

Pliers to remove hoses and ground connection.

New fuel rated hose and hose clamps.

Something to stop fuel from leaking back out if hose, something to catch fuel.

A new set of straps and straps protection from rubbing tank.

You will have to remove gas cap and any type of connection that will hinder the removal of tank.

To replace is just a reversal of removal.

Fuel pressure problems. If I remove the fuel cap truck runs normal. I've replace just about everything. And still have problems with it.

The only thing you are doing by leaving the gas cap off is providing an extra vent to the tank.
If that really helps the problem I would take another look at the vapor canister system. There may be a line plugged or a valve not opening.
Normally that would set a code in the computer.

I'm not getting any fuel to the carburetor , replaced fuel line , fuel filter , & spark plug. If you poor gas into the carburetor it will run . What should I try next ? It has a Honda GX620K1 motor .

Remove the fuel line from the carburetor and turn on the fuel valve--fuel should proceed from the line in a thin stream. If it just drips, then something in the fuel tank is blocking flow. Remove the tank from the machine, drain the fuel, and inspect the fuel tap by removing it from the tank if possible. Use compressed air to blow back into the fitting--something inside the tank may be plugging the fuel exit tube. Hope this helps!

I am not getting fuel to my engine but my fuel pump is still running. what next? is it possible the filter is clogged or could it be something else

have never seen filter completely blocked your pump may be running but fuel not making it out of tank there is a line from pump to top of hanger unit that may have ruptured the pump is down in tank and it has lines going to top where the fuel lines connect i would remove fuel tank take out the pump unit and inspect

Need help to drain fule tank in grand prix

I had luck by removing the fuel filter under the car (located on the drivers side midway of the car) I needed to do this and when i unplugged the filter, gas started coming out, i started to put a cup but the cup started to get full so i just plugged up the line instead. This is just a thought, it might be dangerous, ( i dont know) but i would remove the fuel filter and connect the gas line to a tank or bottle or something, maybe run an extension away from the car and start to crank the car, forcing the fuel to leave the tank, that's just me thou. YOU DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO, dont hold me responsible.

Removing harley davidson ultra classic gas tank

Drain the fuel either by siphening or removing the cross over tube at the front of the tank and letting it drain that way or just block off those cross over lines and leave the fule in the tank for removal.

0) remove seat
1) drain fuel
2) undo cross over line (bottom front of gas tank.
3) shut off pet **** and remove fuel line from pet ****.
4)there should only be 2 bolts holding the tank on, one at the top front of the tank and one at the back of the tank.

All in all a pretty easy (but possibloy messy) job.

Replacing the fuel pump on a 96 Hyundai Elantra

replacing the fuel pump can be a diffecult task. just be careful. i believe that if you remove the rear seat there should be an access panel there to remove the fuel pump. if not than you will have to remove the gas tank. if you have to remove the gas tank then you shou have a shop do it for you.

hope this helped

Vehicle start and runs for a couple of minutes then stalls

sounds like fuel problem but no doubt iam wrong again, firstly change fuel filter ,take it this motor is over the big pond because any self respecting europeon would have a vw or merc and if your poor a ford transit.firstly change the fuel filter or temp job blow it backwards with a air line ,then remove the fuel pump out the tank and clean the gauze filter on the bottom of the pump and look inside tank with a torch ,not an electric lead light?¿?¿¿?¿?clean tank out if it looks cruddy by using the existing fuel pump but stick a can on the engine end and then drain tank.Might find you have rust in the tank or somebody has put sugar in the tank or something stupid.Do you have many ex"s ?? .to clean out tank ,empty it with the fuel pump then remove the sender unit wipe it out the best you can with a rag ,then leave it to dry out for a day or so then push vacumn cleaner nozzle into tank and see how far you can get it round.Best of british mate
