I have a 350 poulan pro ordered a carb. installed new filter line and primer bulk. It will start and run as long as I have the choke on. As soon as I move the lever for the choke I boggs down. Gan anyone...

Hi dennis
Sounds like to me that you have a problem with the high speed circuit of the carb...could be some trash in the jet or the jet may be out of adjustment...try adjusting the jet and try to go to full throttle after your adjustment

Suzuki 500 quadrunner idels good but will not throttle up just dies

I expect you have blocked jets in the carb.
Strip down the carb and clean the jets then reassemble and tune.
Hope that helps.

Looking for a manual for an electrolux lawnmower, also says poulan weed eater. Model # 386191. It does not seem to get enough gasoline.

You can try draining the carb and cleaning the main jet first?

If the carb is a bowl type also check the float to see if enough gas is flowing when the float hangs free. The carb should stop flowing then the float is lifted up and is sitting parallel to the carb body.

If you dont have a float type carb you can remove the carb body and check for dirt in the pickup tube as well as the main jet.

Here is a link to the poulan weed eater website:

Starts fine but runs a too low a speed

You probably have a partially blocked main jet inside your carb!

You need to pull the bowl of your carb and snake the main jet with a fine piece of wire *( a stripped twist tie is usually enough).

You might not have the type of carb that has the main jet underneath.
You need to run the model number on this unit and find the parts breakdown for the carb it has to locate the main jet.

Good luck and be careful.

Carb problem

Sounds like a problem with the main jet. Make sure the carb is cleaned of all the gunk from old fuel. Idle jet ok but if throttle opens too much air will kill engine if the main jet is blocked.

Idels good but when i start to cut it bogs doun

Either the spark arresting screen is clogged with carbon, or the carb is out of adjustment on the high speed jet.

Snowmobile problem

hi jay,,if u r having to use the choke to keep it go ideling , then either u the idel jet is blocked and will give u fuel starvation ,so usin the choke the main jet has to force fuel in 2 the float chambers,, at the bottom of the carb,, so firstly remove bottoms of carbs and one jet at time take the needle jet and main out , u will see little holes on the needle jet.or needle guide jet if u like, poke a pin in the holes ,and blow threw till u see light threw them, give every thing in the bottom carb a clean while u r there, then replace that jet and everything else ,,then move to the next carb and repeat the process,,put carbs back on the bike, then air boxmake sure theres no air leaks between air box and carbs ,, try that matey,, hope it helped,,
