I would recommend getting the service manual for your model as some models have clutches that control spin and others have belts. The service manual would be the best route if you are planning on repairing this yourself. On a Bosch wfmc3200uc there is a green plastic string, similar to fishing line, located behind the round panel on the front of the machine. It is attached to the top right of the round black piece. Just give a slight tug this will release the lock.

Always check to see if the water waste (located normally at bottom right) has no foreign objects in their such as bobby pins, coins etc It has happened to me 3 times (first time cost me $150)

E18 indicates a draining failure. Cleaning out the pump chamber is the correct course of action.
