We will need the model numbers on both the speakers and the television you wish to connect them to, so we can answer your question.

Hi,

This kind of symptoms is an indication that the backlight of you unit is not working. This is caused by faulty either the inverter boards or the power supply board. You have to check first the output voltage of the power supply feeding the inverter board. No output voltage will make the inverter board disable resulting to black picture with sound because there's no high voltage present to light up the backlight.

If the output voltage of the power supply is good. You have to replaced the inverter board of your TV to resolve the problem.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

Some cable companies use the 'tier' pricing with their "Packages".
Here in Tallahassee it goes something like this..............................

1) Basement 'Basic" pkg. No converter.>>>>>>>>>>Lineup>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CH 1-9
2) Basic w/converter.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>It varies, but there are a lot more than 9!
3) Basic w/Digital converter>>>>>>>>>>>>>> more channels,and PPV
4) Premium pkg>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>HBO,Sports etc.

Go to the menu on the TV, run auto channel search, and check the type of signal assigned, i.e. Antenna or cable.
Good Luck!

SOURCE: the antenna plug on the

If this was the plug- the RF plug socket - that had come off and fallen all you need is to remove the power of the TV in the first place.
Now get access to the back of the TV- use a good flash light and since it is easy to see the RF pin protrudingg forward , you can plug and mate the socket into the pin.
Now if this pin is broken it can be due to a faulty pin or even if this is direct link to the TUNER in which case you will need a soldering iron to solder the broken pin and fix.
This is not a tough job and can be done by you with such care.

A few places to look---either there is a opening that faces the rear of set somewhere or it plugs UP (hidden from view) into a opening at or near the rear audio/video in jacks--take a close look.

Don't know how to recharge

Just use the combined USB/audio cable. Plug the standard USB side in your computer, or even in the back of some modern TVs, and then plug the other side with the smaller USB plug into the speaker.

My left speaker is not working and it isn't the cable connection. It has been checked and the plug is in all-the-way.

You could just have a loose wire inside the speaker but sometimes one speaker will just go to speaker heaven. Sorry I can't give a better answer and I don't know that brand so I don't know if you can open up the speaker easily to see if there is a loose connection. Now, sometimes the plugs can just wear out too which can be replaced if it is a great set of speakers but again, back to the lack of knowledge about that brand and how hard it is to work on.

Just bought a Harbinger HX121M 2" Monitor, from Musicians Friend it did not come with a booklet on how to wire into my sound system it has two 1/4" jacks and a strange round plug about the size...

If you don't know how to connect this... well we don't either because you did not tell us what your sound system is. The larger plug is what is known as a "Speakon" connector and is a fairly reliable speaker connection that is used now. For your use you will PROBABLY use either of the 1/4 inch jacks with a cable from the amp that will drive the monitor(s). If you have multiple monitors you will daisy chain them using the 1/4 inch jacks and SPEAKER rated cables creating a string of speakers with input going into one and an output from the same one to the next speaker and so on...USUALLY you will be limited to two speakers per amp output...

I recently bought an HDMI cable for my xbox 360 (the new type, i don't know if it has a name but its the one with the touch sensitive power button), and when I plug the cable into the xbox and the tv...

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your trouble. You elimanted the cable as a potential problem so that is good. You are left with a couple of options that might be causing the problem.

-Bad HDMI port on the XBOX
-Bad HDMI port on the TV
-Incorrect TV settings

On the TV, you want to make sure you set it to the HDMI input when you are using HDMI, but I assume you already do this and most newer TV's will auto adjust to HDMI when the xbox is turned on. Always good to double check.

The easiest way to narrow the problem down further would be to test the hdmi connection with another TV. If the xbox works on another TV then you narrowed the problem down to the TV and will need to repair the TV either through warranty support, by yourself or via a TV repair man. If the xbox has the same trouble on a different TV then you know the problem is with the XBOX and you can contact Microsoft Xbox support for repairs.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
G33k

Hi. I have a pair of Harmon Kardon Computer speakers without a power adapter. The left speaker plugs into the right and the right has a place for an adapter. The only numbers on these speakers are...

According to this similar request http://www.fixya.com/support/t1489202-need_replacement_power_cord_harmon you're looking for a 12v 2500ma power supply. Take the speaker with you to someplace like Radio Shack and I'm sure they can set you up.

Or look on eBay. This one looks like it would fit just about anything in the U.S.

TV's are known for their audio chops. Neither are PC speakers. You'll need to access the audio through a variable output on the TV if you want control of the volume. SEE THE TV MANUAL. Or get the audio from the Cable Box directly (or any video source)

Where do the cables go for pic and sound

You can find the manual here if you need a copy.

This system was sold with speakers and connecting cables. One cable connects from the main unit to the subwoofer. The rest of the speakers supplied with the system plug into the subwoofer with their special connecting cables. If you don't have the subwoofer and satellite speakers along with the cables, you can't get sound out of this system. There is no built-in amplifier and no way to connect speakers otherwise.

The video connection to your monitor or TV is from the rear panel on the main unit. You can use an s-video cable, composite video (a single cable with RCA plugs) or component video (3 RCA cables), depending on the inputs supplied on the TV. Component video gives best performance if the TV supports it.

That is the setup guide for the speakers.

The two wires plug into a cable that then that single cable plugs into the computer, this way you have sound coming out of the left and right hand speakers.
