Maytag microwave - mod# mmv5100aaw

I have had this unit for 4 years w/o issues and today had started cooking something and seconds into task a buzzing noise started and then everything went dead - i checked power to unit and its good - i tried want manual said to try - unplug it and retry - nothing - no power to anything and panel is dead - i down loaded the only parts picture schematic i could find - it is not clear and shows no internal fuse - is there one - and how do i get to it if there is? or what do you think?

Same Problem. Unit dated 2002 turned it on to heat up some food, worked for a few seconds, a loud buzzing/honking noise then everything went dead. Circuit breker popped and won't reset. Pretty poor performance since I've had Sears and Litton units last for many years with no problems.

GE over the range microwave buzzing then blowing fuse

If the buzzing is like the sound of someone using an arc welding then the is a possible loose connection on the high voltage side- from the HV transformer to the magnetron.

Be very careful. The HV capacitor can give you an electric shock even when power is OFF.

Hotpoint Microwave Model RVM1435BD 001- microwave comes on when I open the door.

Many microwaves have similar issues. Usually, (not always) only the light is on and the fan is running, not the section that produces the microwaves. This problem can be caused by the door switches that are out of alignment or a defective control board.

Sharp microwave kb-6002ls making buzzing noise

Someone would have to open the unit to "hear" where it is coming from, possible fan issue or even the power unit inside.

Maytag MMV4205BA microwave buzz/grind when operating then no power

you may have some arching inside where your magnatron is located. If you open the door on the right middle part there is a silverplate on the wall .If it is burned you may need to replace magnatron.if you do not seee burn marks it may still be the magnatron hope.that would be the only possible thing that would make the noise other then the mtor plate out of place.
