If main fuse should blow up, certainly there will be a reason for that. Your TV need a through checkup. Contact any service technician.Products powered by electricity should be serviced or repaired only by experienced professional technicians. Any attempt to service or repair the product by anyone else could result in serious injury or death. If you are not familiar with electronics, do not attempt to repair. Whether you suffer fatal electrical shock. Instead, contact the nearest service centre.

After a power outage, the tv wont turn back on. was hoping there is a fuse that may have blown.

Hi Michael,
Yes there is a fuse in your TV too and sometimes you do escape with a blown fuse after a power outage. Please open if you can the back cover of your TV, locate the fuse. If you do not see any damaged or blown parts, replace the fuse with the same rating. If the works, enjoy watching. If the fuse blows again, the power board needs to be repaired or replaced.
Good luck.

My 42lh30 lg tv was on the kids where watching movie on xbox then the tv and xbox just turned off. and will not come back on. the xbox is working. but there is no red light saying the tv is getting power....

Possibly you've had a power cut & a fuse associated with the TV has blown. Have you checked the fuse in the TV plug? If that's ok then probably a fuse internally in the TV has blown or something more serious has blown in the power supply

TV does not come on at all.......would there be some replaceable fuse?

Hello
Certainly there will be a replacable glass cartridge type fuse. It will be there, not only for Sanyo, but for all TVs. The fuse used is for protection. That is, if anything wrong happens to the power supply or its internal circuits, fuse will blow up, and prevent further damage to other components. Therefore, you must understand that if fuse in your TV has blown up, certainley there will be some reson for that. Without find that reason, and rectify it, never put a fuse there, it it has blown. It will cause more trouble to your device. Check it well. Find out the reason for the blown out fuse. Rectify it first, and then put a new fuse there. OK.

No picture or sound on tv

This sounds like a power supply problem. Check for a blown fuse in the unit. If there is no blown fuse then the power supply might have a shorted or open component in it. Check for the blown fuse first if the fuse is not blown or it can not be fixed by changing the fuse then the next culprit is the power supply, you will have to have a qualified TV technician do this.

I hope this helps
Thank you

Tv wont turn on

Hello tvlover, The outage actually is not the problem but the spike that happened when your power came back on did the damage. That aside, you may just have a blown fuse. If you are able to and feel comfortable work with electronics, with the TV unplugged from the wall, take the back off of your TV and take a look at the line cord going into the circuit board, this will lead you to a fuse holder, look at the fuse and see if the filament inside has been blown (opened). If the fuse is blown relace it with one of the same amperage and voltage which should be written on the metal part of the fuse. Once the fuse is replaced, plug the power cord back into the wall and power it up. If it comes on and plays, that was your problem and you can turn the TV off unplug it and put the back cover back on, plug your TV back into the wall and enjoy. However if the fuse blows again, that could indicate a problem with a short somewhere in the powersupply path and that will require troubleshooting the set. Now I we have to troubleshhot this TV you will need a multimeter, an oscilloscope, and a schematic of the TV (at a minimum). If you do have electronics experience to this level and do not have this type of equipment, You will have to take the TV to a repair shop. Thank you, and I hope that it is just a blown fuse.

Power surge I think

If you do not get any clicking or sound when trying to turn on the TV set, most likely the main fuse went out. This is almost always due to something else blowing out along or making the fuse to blow out. DO NOT SIMPLY REPLCE THE BLOWN FUSE! If there is other shorts inside the set, and you replace the blown fuse, you can cause more damage to the TV set. The best way to test this set if the fuse is blown would be to hook up a 100 to 150 watt light bulb across the blown fuse, and if there is a short in the TV set the light bulb will glow bright and stay bright. If the bulb lights up and goes dim maybe just maybe you got luck so replace the fuse and see what happens. If the light bulkb stays bright, there is a short in the set somewhere and if you do not have a service manual and a good multimeter and a knowledge of how the TV power supply works, you really should call in a pro to assist you in the repair of this TV. there is just too much High Voltage inside these TV sets to be experieenting around inside of it. Good Luck.
