Question about Cameras
If you are looking for a replacement door for the battery compartment of you camera i would suggest the following.
Simply search for a Faulty Cannon power shot A570. Faulty ones sell for a lot cheaper. Then just replace the doors of both camera. Ebay is a good place to look.

I'm having the same problem with my DSC-W1 camera. I dropped my camera and the battery door latches broke.
I found a replacement door on Ebay for $9.95
I followed the instructions in the description and easily removed the broken door from my camera. Now i'm just waiting on the new door to arrive so I could slide the new door in.
I hope this was helpful.
Here's the seller I bought the door from. Hopefully the seller has more doors. =) :
In addtion, I found the last two posts on this forum very helpful:
Good Luck! =)

Hmmm...... there might be a time battery that needs replacing. Look fore something like CR1220 or time battery. Pry it open and replace it with a battery of the same size.

Here are some simple things to try first for a camera that won't power on. They won't work for every case, but they're worth a try:

Your menus will have options to be able to turn off the flash in certain modes.
The camera also has external buttons which will turn the flash on or off. Read your user manual.
The button which has the SET inside has four selectors. The right selector has a flash on/off button to turn the flash on or off. The flash usually will flash when set to flash all the time and not in AUTO mode. The AUTO mode may not allow you to turn off the flash. You probably have to choose another mode to allow the flash to be turned off.
If you do not have a user manual, here is a link to a free pdf download: User manual Canon A400
