This means you have not finished a transaction. It normally happens when you try to turn the key before you finish. Try turning the key back to where it last was and finish what you started in that mode before turning the key to another mode.

Good old machines. Off the top of my head, I think you might need to make sure you are logging in a clerk if you change a clerk name. Some are set up for cashiers so you would need to change cashier name if you log in a cashier

You need to replace the paper roll. Make sure you use a 57mm thermal roll.---------------------------------

This just means a half reset has been performed to recover from an error.

E5 error: Clerk ID is not entered.
Please press the CLR key to remove the error code on screen.
Press "1" and then "clerk"

This means you have not finished a transaction. It normally happens when you try to turn the key before you finish. Try turning the key back to where it last was and finish what you started in that mode before turning the key to another mode.

We have a no-cl message after we rang up a customer and hit a key. Now the cash register is frozen with an no-cl message. The cash register is a towa fx-400 and my ser id is #2054743


Hello,
I've searched online for any similar problems and it seems that there's not a lot on the net for a CL error. Most were printer related.
Just by seing things from a logical perspective, this error may be a tray issue, so try opening and closing the cash tray and see if this remedies the problem. If you can unplug the register from the power cord, do so and see if this helps. Try the unplugging with a closed and an opened tray.
I'm not a cash register expert so this is just guesswork. Hope it helps.
