SOURCE: cross hairs canting to the left..how do i recenter the recticle?

From your short description, it sounds like the Horozontal (the ELEVATION) reticle is canted to the left. If that IS the case then do this;
Sand bag the rifle on what you know is a level and firm surface. The rifle MUST be level itself. You can use a small level to determine this.
Without moving the rifle, look through the scope and determine if indeed the horozontal or ELEVATION reticle is indeed canted. The reticle should be LEVEL in relation to the ground and the rifle itself.
If it still appears to be canted, loosen the set screws of the scope ring caps (Not the scope mounts) and while looking through the scope, gently rotate the barrel of the scope clock wise until the Horozontal reticle appears to be now level. Re-tighten the scope ring caps and look through the scope again to make sure the Reticle is still 'level'.
You must now make sure that your scope is still 'zero'd'.

IF the issue is something other than what I have assumed from your description, please send me a msg. with more detail and I will be able to resolve whatever issue you are having. Include the 'Brand and model', plus the power of it, and the brand/model/cal. of the rifle the scope is mounted on.

Good luck. :)

SOURCE: my simmons scope cross hairs have turned diagnally

it is repaireable but its going to cost more that a new scope,, your one has shook its self apart,, to fix it it needs to be striped right down all the glass will need to be cleaned and after the repair it will need to be refilled with gas,,,,so its not worth the cost of a repair,,sorry

SOURCE: cross hairs sideways?!

If you are seeing an X you need to loosen the scope rings, re-level your scope and re-tighten the scope rings. 10-20 in/lbs on the ring screws, 15-30 in/lbs on the mounting screws. Typical configuration of the turrets is one on the top, one on the right side.

Hi Bruce:
Here's the link that gets you every possible Mossberg site.
https://www.google.ca/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=mossberg%20402%20parts
Then it's a matter of review and contact. It took me over 5 years, but I eventually found the bolt that I needed.
Patience.
And luck.
Cheers.

Need a pdf manual for maganavox MRV700vr

Magnavox has the manual for the MRV700vr/17B dvd player on their product support page: http://www.m4c.magnavox.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?scy=US&slg=AEN&cat=BLURAY_AND_DVD_CA&sct=DVD_PLAYERS_SU&session=20120117070917_216.183.195.169&grp=SOUND_AND_VISION_GR&ctn=MRV700VR/17B&mid=Link_UserManuals&hlt=Link_UserManuals . The direct link to the manual is http://download.m4c.magnavox.com/files/m/mrv700vr_17b/mrv700vr_17b_dfu_aen.pdf .

I had no problems accessing the Magnavox site with Firefox and Adobe Reader. I do not have a Mac to check if the link works in Safari.

I hope this helps.

Cross hairs turn when adjusting power

Sounds like somebody took your scope apart and forgot something. You can remove the rear of the scope, but you might want to send it back to the factory. Some scopes are filled with nitrogen to stop them from fogging up, But maybe only the front part. Take the eye piece off, you should be able to get to the cross hair unit, it should come out in one piece, find out why it spins, might be missing a washer, I have replaced the cross hairs on scopes before with spider webs, I tried a dolls hair once, I thought it was thin enough, .002 ",, It looked like a rope inside there when I got it back together. Good luck, let us know what happens.

Umm ok im new to sighting scopes i usally dont use scops for deer hunting but this year i am shooting up to around 100-450 yards...well i can sight one in but how do i shoot at a deer at farther ranges...

Learn your round, the key to long shots are in the bullets you chose. How much drop out to 400 yards. Shooting a 22 LR at 100 yards will teach you how to factor in for bullet drop. Most 22's will drop 6-8 inches out at 100 yards, then you have to deal with the wind, pratice with a good 22. Now on to your scope, if you have say, a 30-06 sight it in at 4x dead on to 125 yards. you will be high at 60 - 75 yards and low at 200 yards. Sight it dead on at 150 you will shoot high at 100 yards. so on so no. Best is dead on at 150., w/4x. Leave it a 4 power till you need more. Now turning up the power will move the point of impact a bit you have to learn how much by doing (pratice), shoot out there to see what she does, and then you know. Then you have to deal with a cold gun, she will shoot different cold. The key to a good clean kill is to know your gun and how she shoots, where, when, cold, hot, wet, dry. Low light, bright light even will make a difference how you see the cross hairs where on the target. Next, your cross hairs have a built in range finder, they have a wide line that tapers down to fine, this is a good way to tell how far away something is get a paper plate and paint it red. put it out at 100 yards that is a good kill zone for a good sized deer. Look at the plate through the scope and judge your spot for 100 yards. 4x, 6x, 9x. you then can guess your distance to deer by looking at the cross hairs step down. Deer chest is ruff the same size as the plate. Good hunting, I want to see a picture of all you take this year.
