No program icons on the descktop.

This is a known symptom of a failure in the power supply board. Here is a link to a repair guide that shows how to dis-assemble and the unit and then what to look for and replace on the power supply board to bring the unit back to working condition.

a flashing cursor is indicative of programs running the backround, and a freeze indicates too many things running in the backround, such as the page you are on is loading files or photos. or perhaps a previous page is still loading,or one of the auto updaters are downloading drivers or perhaps you are multitasking {working several pages at on time } in any case it is necessary to reduce processor usage by reducing the number of running programs. If in fact none of this is the case,close all pages and return to desktop. click start ,programs, accessories, system tools. disk defragmenter. click defragment. wait for program to finish and close out all programs. shut down computer,and pull power plug for at least 30 seconds. restart computer, it should be better.

Hi,
The screen may be showing the way it is due to the following reasons.
The user profile corrupt or there are system files may be missing
Try the following steps:
1. Remove the battery from the computer and disconnect the ac adapater.
2. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds
3. reinsert the battery and connect the ac adapter
4. Power on and check again.

If the above steps do not work the next troubleshooting step:

1.At boot up press F8 and boot in safe mode.
2.Once windows shows up, Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Restore.
3.Here you must specify a date that is in bold numerals. It will reboot in a short while. And you will get a working computer.

1.Turn on your computer and wait for it to boot up, then turn on your printer.
2.Locate the " HP Image Director " icon on your computer and double click it.
( This icon was placed there when your printer was installed on your computer )
3. A screen will appear showing the scanning options available on your printer.
4. Place your document or picture on the printer's glass top.
5. From the HP Director screen, click on the appropriate button to start the scanning operation.
The scanner will perform two passes, the first; is to preview your document or picture and to
make changes, if necessary, the second; is the final acceptance of the document or picture
and save it on your computer.
All scanned pictures can be viewed in the HP Photo Gallery and the My Pictures folder
Documents can be viewed in the My Documents folder.

Hi Gabriela, I prefer to use firefox, more security and less problems. Saying that try going to microsoft web site and downloading the latest version, this should help to solve your problem as it will contain the latest fix's.

it maybe a hardware failure, or it can be anything really... you might try to reset configuration by holding the power button for more than 4 seconds... it will reset your display settings and so on...
you blueray maybe stuck aswell , hold it for 10 seconds it will force a "disc out"
the last you can do is , that is ofcourse you dont have a warranty , open it up (see youtube video"ps3 bluereay disassembe" how to open it)

try replacing the memory module on the laptop as the resources on the memory is shared with the graphix

If you do not see an webcam icon found in your descktop or on the start, all program, that means their is no driver found in your computer, you have to install the driver, if you do not have the installer try this link maybe this will help you.
