Question about JVC GR-D370 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I've only had this camcorder for 2 months max. i took it on a one month trip and now somehow this is happening. i've tried to play every tape i recorded on the camcorder but it shows me the blank blue screen everytime i play anything, as if its a blank tape. and yes i am 100% sure the tapes are not blank because i've played them before. i hear the tape rolling but thre is no sound or picture. absolutely nothing! any clue why this is?? please helppp!! respond if you think you can help even a bit! thank you!!
Your camcorder video head is dirty, use a brand new tape and playback for around 5 minutes or more, this will serve as your video head cleaner. you may try at least five times doing this: insert, play, eject, play, eject again. your camcorder has a built in videohead cleaner and activates only during insert, play or rec, and eject mode. If the problem is still there, manual videohead cleaning is needed, use clean bond paper and lighter fluid, damp the bond paper (Size about 1" by 3") with fluid and rub with care the videohead (not the bond paper! The vhead should be the one turning not the paper)by slowly turning the videohead against the paper. Be careful cause this is dangerous that you might brake the videohead permanently. apply only a slight force to the head.

Mar 25, 2013 | Sony Hi8 CCD-TRV138 Camcorder
your PC/ Laptop and log in to windows.
Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->Click 'System Restore'
A 'System Restore' window will appear.
Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next
Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.
Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are
facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date.
The detail of that particular date should show "System
Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.
Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.
After reboot your problem should be resolved.
