Intex sf15110 filter motor will not reset fromreset on cord. does the motor have a reset

Had a bad storm last night so assume motor shut off due to overheating as skimmer basket was full of leaves. It was off when I checked it this a.m. Left it plenty of time to cool. When I tried the reset on the cord nothing happens. Confirmed that outlet is working. The reset button does not feel as though it is clicking into position? What can I try and does the motor itself have a reset? The filter, Krystal Clear Sand filter 14" model SF15110, is new this season and is about a month old and was working fine yesterday.

It sounds like your GFCI was knocked out. You can put a new plug on the end if you are sure to get the Common, Line, and Ground wires lined up correctly. A trip to a good hardware store should do the trick. If they don't have GFCI plugs then make sure that the receptacle is GFCI protected. (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter).

SOURCE: Pump and skimmer instructions on how to

Direction of flow is FROM the skimmer to the pump and back to the jet. Its easy enough to determine which hose is the "jet" hose and which is the suction hose. Put both into the water, or in a bucket and turn on the pump, find the one that is shooting out water, that's the jet hose. On these systems, filter replacement and cleaning is annoyingly frequent if you want it to work even remotely efficient.

Why won't the breaker on the power cord of my intex krystal clear saltwater system reset?

Defective breaker or shorting pump. Disconnect the appliance from the cord. Does it reset? yes means your appliance is bad. No means that the breaker is bad. A cord with a breaker is not the way to safely operate the pump. You should use a ground fault protected outlet or a cord with a GFCI built in. Either way if the safety device continues to trip, you have a problem with appliance.

Why is my sand pump filter not cycling pool water; the intake line along pool wall seems to be clogged.

I had this issue on a hayward. Bottom line, look at the secondary filter on the intake. I had a huge amount of leaves in there. When you open it up clean the basket and let the water flow for a minute. Also, back wash your filter.

I have a Intex Sand Filter Pump SF15110. Can I upgrade the from the 1/2 hP to 1 HP motor

I have the same problem and put a 1HP pump on my system and too much flow. So you can not increase by that much. Need to stay at 1/2 HP and they are impossible to find. End up buying whole new intex system.

Have you tried running an extra duty extension cord to another plug, not in that circuit?? Your GFCI may be bad?? Pump drawing too many amps and the breaker not rated for those amps.. Bad pump??

I would try another plug first and work from there...
