SOURCE: Bernina Bernette 600 Deco embroidery machine

It could be that there is a loose piece of thread, or some fluff which is obstructing the tension gauge. Try blowing around the theading area (or even run the hoover pipe near it to see if you can **** it out). I cleared mine by folding a piece of non fluffy material and rubbing gently between the tension dial and machine.

Good luck

SOURCE: DOES THE BERNINA BERNETTE DECO 600 ACCEPT .ART

Not sure if you found anything out, but Deco 600 uses PES format only.
If you have the software (Deco Wizard) sometimes you can change it to PES and save the design.
Good luck

SOURCE: need a manual for bernina bernette deco 600

Yes, I need a manual for the Bernia Bernette Deco 600. Following the death of my daughter, My grand daughter said she did not want any of her mom's sewing equipment. I kept them for her and now she feels she would like to have the embroidery machine. However, we were unable to locate the manual for the deco 600. I am unable to locate one on line...only good reason...due to my inexperience at the computer I am unable to locate a manual for her. Any assistance you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely Nana Helen

How do you oil this machine?

Consult your owner's manual in the Maintenance Section. Clean and oil ONLY as directed. Use good quality sewing machine oil (preferably Bernina Oil made for your specific type of sewing machine) and use only 1-2 drops of oil in each spot.

How do I oil the machine. I have looked in the manual and it doesn't show anything at all on this subject. unless I missed something.

There is little to no maintenance on this machine in general. The machine is fitted with oil impregnated sintered (powdered metal) bearings that are self lubricating. About 12 to 15% of the physical volume of such a porous bearing is oil. Adding additional oil will not absorb into the already oil saturated bearing, so adding oil will only create problems such as a messy oily machine and subsequent oil varnishing on parts.
However, the front cover on the needle bar end of the machine can be removed for lubricating the take-up lever and needle bar mechanisms. The balance of the machine should be left as is without oil. Periodic removal of lint with compressed air is advisable in the hook and bobbin case area.
Over the years, it has been found that over lubrication is more harmful than under lubricating Bernina machines.

The upper looper on my Bernette 334Ds overlocker will not move backwoods and forward hence no loops or stitches being made. How do I fix this?

Has it been professionally cleaned and oiled recently? Even though the manuals usually don't provide instructions for oiling the inside of a serger, they do need it periodically because of all the moving parts. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, then maybe a trip to the Bernina technician is in order. (Please if you try it yourself, be sure you have the proper oil, preferably Bernina serger oil--not Bernina sewing machine oil.)

I have a bernina minimatic 807 (old), and am trying to change the bulb. It is really hard...got it out, in pieces, but it'd be really nice to take the door off...which I think I can if I can lift the top. ...

Oh my gosh--how simple it is:

However, perhaps the manual would be helpful:

While you have the machine open, it might be a good idea to apply a couple drops of good quality sewing machine oil or (better yet) liquid Tri-Flow Synthetic Lube to every place where metal rubs against metal. (Slowly turn the handwheel and watch the movement.) Also look for the oil port holes throughout the machine an apply a couple drops in each. Do NOT oil the plastic gears or belts!!! Also, move the stitch selector and feed dog levers and hit those with a little oil too. This will keep your machine happily humming!!! You'll probably notice how quietly it runs afterward!

Please don't use WD40 on your sewing machine, WD40 is an alcohol based cleaner and will do the opposite of lubricate. Take your machine to a certified Bernina Repair shop, they will have a look at the timing and lubricate all of your gears. Lubricant will dry out over time, grease turns to putty and oils turn to varnish after several years of non-service. Lint is attracted to moisture, moisture being those key areas of any machine. Lint acts like an oil wick and will draw out your lubricant from key areas. It then begins to attract dust and other nasty things over the years to become grit. Your motor begins to burn out due to stress trying to move all of these clocked gears, cams and shafts. Take your machine in!

I have s Bernina deco 650 embrodiery machine and the stitches won't catch. I had this machine serviced before I moved from SD to an eastern state. It was sewing fine and just started making a noise like it...

Your timing is out in the bobbin area this will have to be reset, maybe the last time that you used it you had a cotton jam, and it was pulled out of alignment.

Try a dry or powder lubricant in bobin case ,not to mutch ! You must try and remove plastic on right side ,to get to working parts ,do not spray on sensors!
