Question about Coby MP826 MP3 Player
I have a Coby MP-826 MP3 player which until last week had been working fine. I turn in on and nothing happens. I reset it. It turns on and immediately turns off. I can reset it and charge it. The display indicates that it is charged. When I unplug it from the computer it once again immediately turns off. Is this a firmware problem? Does the battery need to be replaced? If so, how do I replace the battery?

Just got Coby MP C7095 MP3 Player 2 GB for Christmas and the power would not turn on. I tried to charge it but still nothing happened.

I bought a Coby mp-c7095 and could not get it to turnon. I charged the battery for more then 24 hours and it still would not turnon.
The problem was easily fixed. The red battery wire was pinched during assembly and shorted to the back cover. I put a small piece of tape over the bare wire and carefully reassembled the unit. Now it works great!

A fast light means a file error, meaning you loaded a protected WMA or iPod file (aac, mp4, m4a). reformat the player and load only compatable files. NOTE: songs from subscription services ($10 a month for unlimited songs, etc.) are protected. only songs from your cds or that you purchase individually will work

1. Make sure the hold switch is in the "off" position.
2. If the light comes on but your media doesn't play, it could be that you've load files which have DRM applied. The player does not support DRM, and thus can't play the files.Try playing a file that you are 100% certain does not have DRM applied.
3. If the light does not come on, the battery is fried (if LiPo batteries discharge past a certain point, they have a tendency not to recharge, no matter how long you leave it on charge). Return the player to the store where you purchased it.
