Repair aquaglide slide

The slide attachment for our aquaglide system seemed to lose its internal strait ions so that the slide is now not flat but blown up like a sausage. Is there a way to repair it or retest her the internal lines? Thank you.

SOURCE: How to repair evaporator system in 2004 Saturn ion

I have a car that has a leaky evaporator coil, too. Here's what I have found:

A leaking evaporator coil is usually replaced. On most vehicles, this is a labor intensive job requiring complete dis-assembly of the dashboard to gain access to the coil. Your particular vehicle *may* be different.

Some companies offer products specifically made to seal relatively small leaks in the refrigerant system. Independent reviews that I have read show mixed results and some indicate use of some of these products can cause greater harm to the system. Some manufacturers claim their product along with a system recharge is all that needs to be done. Others require replacement of the filter and dryer so that the air and moisture is able to be completely eradicated from the system, this is because once system has been depressurized due to the leak, air and moisture eventually enter. That air and moisture must be purged before running the system because water can not be compressed and will create issues in the A/C compressor. It is important to note that some refrigerants are marketed with a dye to help locate leaks and even some with a "leak stopper". These products are fine to use. It's the stand-alone leak stopping products that I'm talking about here. You should try the refrigerants with a leak stopped / dye. They can seal small, slow leaks effectively. If you need to recharge annually - that may be the way to go. Large leaks that empty in as little as a couple weeks or a month will probably not be stopped with these products.

For these reasons, I have opted to spend money on replacement of my evaporator coil, rather than risk damaging the entire system with a "stop leak type product". Here's search result page for "stop leak" products that you should review.

Good luck!

My Kodak Easyshare Z1485IS camera has a faulty internal battery, used to retain the date and time, how can I replace this battery Please?

I have this camera, except it is Pink.

---
I looked up the internal battery but I don't think it has it. I think that if your regular batteries get exhausted, it will lose memory.

I use Li Ion Batteries, as recommended by Kodak.

If your batteries are losing charge too fast, switch to the Li Ion type, and also keep a spare so that you can keep the memory by switching batteries quickly, within a few minutes, I believe.

Good luck on this.

Losing brake fluid(2001 kia sportage)

Check the rear wheel cylinders if you have drum brakes on the rear. Check the master cylinder cap to be sure it's on right & snug. Use D.O.T. 3 fluid, not synthetic. If you're losing fluid there's a reason. Check the front brake pads & slides for the calipers, could be frozen with rust & eating up the pads. Fluid would seem low if the pads are shot.

We have a 2003 Saturn Ion that has intermittent starting problems. The problem occurs at all temperatures. If we wait 5-15 minutes it will start. Have replaced the battery and starter My girlfriends...

Take the car in, and have the fuel pump checked, and maybe the alternater. Something in there is going out. Could even be lose battery cables, or a lose connection. Either way, you should have it checked before you get stuck somewhere.

How do i take off the disc brakes on my 2001 toyota celica?

These instructions came from Auto Zone's website and their free, online repair guides. Just plug in your make, model and year and you can get exact instructions and pictures for your repair. Sweeeeeeet! Good Luck!
  1. Loosen the wheel lug nuts slightly.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  3. Remove the wheels.
  4. Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper. Plug the end of the hose to prevent loss of fluid. Some brake lines have a union bolt and gasket type line attached to the caliper. Do NOT lose the washers.

  1. Hold the sliding pin and remove the bolts that attach the caliper to the torque plate.

  1. With two hands, lift up and remove the caliper assembly.
To install:
  1. Grease the caliper pins and bolts with Lithium grease or equivalent. Temporarily install the caliper on the torque plate with the installation bolts.
0900c152801a856f.jpgThe sliding pins should be greased with Lithium-based grease before installation
  1. Hold the sliding pin and tighten the installation bolts to 25 ft. lbs. (34 Nm) on the front wheels, and 14 ft. lbs. (20 Nm) in the rear.
  2. Attach the flexible brake hose to the caliper with new gaskets. Tighten the hose to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).
Install the brake hose lock securely in the lock hole, in the caliper.
  1. Fill and bleed the system.
  2. Install the wheel, lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts.
  3. Before moving the vehicle, make sure to pump the brake pedal to seat the pads against the rotors.
  4. Check for leaks.
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Remove the wheels.
  3. Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
  4. Remove the bolts that attach the caliper to the torque plate. If applicable, hold the flats of the sliding pin with a wrench while loosening the caliper attaching bolts.
  5. Lift up and remove the caliper assembly.
To install:
  1. Install the caliper and loosely install the bolts.
  2. Hold the flats of the sliding pin with a wrench, then tighten the bolts. Tighten to 25 ft. lbs. (34 Nm) except on Celica rear calipers. Tighten the bolts on Celica rear calipers to 34 ft. lbs. (47 Nm).
  3. Connect the brake hose to the caliper, using 2 new washers.
  4. Fill the brake system to the proper level and bleed the brake system.
  5. Add brake fluid to the reservoir to fill to the correct level.
  6. Lower the vehicle to the ground.

Charge Socket

Bought a faulty F20 off EBAY with a broken USB socket.

It seems like a common failure mode.

The one I had had sheared directly of the internal board and their was no PCB track left for re soldering.

I eventually managed to repair the unit by buying a new socket and attaching fine wires which were hard wired to other parts of the PCB then using epoxy glue to refasten the socket. I would consider it a difficult and advanced repair. (Its like micro PCB surgery)

Opening the case is relatively easy. Remove the screws and then use something like a blunt table knife to gently slide between the two case halves until they part bit by bit.

Hope this is of some help.
