I can not see why you want to use that oil. That would be a good oil to use if you have a lot of hours on that engine. Otherwise it is a little high on upper viscosity number unless it is running really hot and I doubt that is the case.

I have a gen power gx400i generator 4.0kvaor 3.0kw, 4stoke single cylinder air cooled.I'm not sure what type of oil is needed?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly. Oil changes are supposed to be every 100 hours. You should use SAE 30 WT (non detergent) oil for at least 3 oil changes / 300 hours then 1 cycle of HD-30 WT oil as it does a bang up job of cleaning things out of the crank case and prevention of the oil rings from sticking on the piston skirt. I have made this recommendation for at least 30 years and never had to rebuild a home owner or RV type engine in a unit where it was known the owner did this cycle of oil changes in a generator. (Vavle work yes.. engine bearing and piston rings no!) .. The brand does NOT matter as long as it is SAE 30 WT oil. Lubricants can not get the SAE rating if they do not meet the standards. Just do NOT use a synthetic oil in it.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Whats th best oil to use in my gas welder

use a multi-viscosity sae sj grade or better oil. recommended motor oil is 10w-30. if you work in cold environments use a 5w-30 oil . it's thinner and will flow easier during cold starts. synthetic oil is better, just more expensive. do regular oil changes at least every one hundred hours. good luck!

Lost manual 6250 watt coleman generator what oil to use and were

If it has the Tecumseh engine..

Above 40°F Straight SAE 30W
Below 40°F down to -20°F Straight SAE 10W or SAE 5W30 or
Below 40°F down to -40° SAE 0W30 Synthetic

Using multigrade oils above 32°F will increase your oil consumption. SAE 10W40 is not recommended.

Per the manual, all the oils should be marked A.P.I. Service SL/SJ, but you may have to use something to a newer standard. E.G.: Service SM.

The oil sump capacity is 1-5/8 U.S. Pints or 0.76 Liters.

Hope this helps.
