FOLLOW this instruction and fix it. God bless you
·
Connect the component video, HDMI1 or AV1 cable from the component device (such a DVD player) to the appropriate input port on the TV. This port may say "Video IN" on the back of the TV. Ensure that the cable is connected securely at both ends.
· 2
Use the remote control's device button(s) to access the menu and select the input through the menu that matches the type of cable input connected to the back of the TV. For example, if you connect the cable to the HDMI1 input port on the back of the TV, selecting anything but the HDMI1 option with the remote control may cause the "No Display" message to appear, which usually means that the TV is not receiving a signal at the connection input you have selected.
·

· 3 Turn the power on to the component you want to view. If the power was off, turning it on will activate the display and replace the "No Display" message.
· 4
Test any other connected components at their selected inputs to see that the TV is receiving the video signal properly from those sources.
· 5
Check with your cable or satellite provider if their set-top box is the source of the "No Display" message and is powered on, to see if the problem is caused by a disruption in their service. If using an antenna, adjust the antenna and re-scan for available channels.

try to use the menu buttons of the display/screen to reset it to factory defaults and use the auto-adjust option if available. this often resolves common issues specific to the screen itself. it can help help to remove the power cord from the monitor then hold its power button for about 10 seconds to drain any power and test it again using another video cable. you may also want to observe if it flashes when not connected to the video cable and when plugged in to a different power outlet and cord.

WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL. http://www.kitchentablecomputers.com/static.php - rules Only work inside the computer case when the power has been switched off and disconnected. Never open the power source. Some of the below steps recommend removing physical parts within the computer. While in the computer it is highly recommend that you be aware of ESD and its potential hazards Causes a Computer Monitor to Go Blank b> While a blank screen may be caused by a general power outage, more often it's a problem with the screen itself. It could be a loose video or power cable going to the monitor. If that's the case, you can get the screen working again and be back in business in a few minutes. b> Power Problems All the power might be off due to a bad outlet, switch, fuse, or circuit breaker. If you hear no sound coming from the computer and its power light is off, check the power connection and breaker or fuse. Video Cable Many times the cause of monitor blackouts is a loose video cable connection. This might happen if you move the monitor or the cable. The video cable runs from the back of the computer to the monitor. It has a multi-pin connector on each end and both of them screw down securely. If the screws aren't tight, either connector could become loose. If that happens, the video signal could stop suddenly and make the picture go blank. Check both ends of the connector to make sure they're firmly seated and the screws are tight. The cable itself might be bad. This is unlikely, but possible. b> Display Power The monitor must have power. If the power light isn't lit on the monitor, it may have been turned off or become unplugged. Press the power button to make sure it wasn't accidentally turned off. Make sure the monitor is plugged in. If it's connected to a power strip, check that the power strip is on. If that checks out, unplug the monitor and try a different outlet. Power strip sockets can sometimes fail. Flat-screen monitors may have a power-brick-style adapter. It, too, has connectors. Follow the power cable from the monitor's power plug back to the monitor. About halfway up you'll find a thick rectangular plastic brick. The power goes into a modular-style equipment socket. This can become loose. Follow the wire the rest of the way to the monitor. It connects to the back of the screen with a small round plug. Check that it's firmly plugged in. If everything's plugged in right and the power light on the monitor's still off, the power brick might be bad. b> Video Card Some computers have a separate video card inside. It may come loose and cause a blank screen. If this is the case, open the computer and inspect the video card. Sometimes removing and reseating the card will fix the problem. If it has to be replaced, most video cards are not expensive.

Sony Bravia TV

If you get a blue screen at turn on and a short time later it shuts off--power supply is ok--set is shutting down as no signal detected to protect the screen.

If using a box first unplug it and wait and plug back--let box try to reboot itself.

Also as a test hook a DVD etc to a rear set of audio/video inputs and go to that input quickly when the set comes on (have DVD connected and on---see if set works that way.

No signal either a problem with the set or the signal source (box?).

My computer will power up, I can hear the fan working etc, all things are a go and there is even sound when I hit butons etc. it appears to be working but my screen is black

Plug in an external monitor to your laptop, if you see an image on the external monitor then your laptop screen is bad. It could be the screen itself or a video inverter.

If you can't see an image on the external monitor, then your video card on the laptop may be damaged.

Good luck

Screen trashes after on for a while.

Hi, it could be the video card that overheats and gives you problems. To be 100% sure that's the video card, plug an external monitor and check if it does it on it too. If it does, no doubt it's the video card, otherwhise it could be the LCD itself.

The video card may have went out.The screen itself rarely goes out.its either videocard, video inverter or a loose video cable. The D8P has a tendency to overheat when the cooling fan is either not working or is blocked or dirty.Try unplugging the video cable with it powered off, then plug it back in.Maybe you will get lucky and it will work.If not i would say the videocard is damaged.
