Your mixture is way to rich it sounds like. Do you have two plugs or one? If you have two do they both carbon up or just one?

Excess carbon on plug

The plug can't really carbon up in seconds. Change the oil first. If the plug fouls up with oil quickly you have a broken oil ring on the piston. If the plug fouls with gas, there's a problem with he carburetor.

Leaf blower wont run

Make sure the muffler isn't plugged with carbon. If it is you can use a hand held torch to burn out the excess carbon.

Won't pass inspection due to carbon emissions. What can I do?

You'll need someone to check the computer to read the O2 sensors and exhaust output.
Could be a long list of problems such as spark plugs, excessive carbon in the engine, and so on.

Mower won't start spark plug turns black

Black carbon fouling on the plug is a sign of the engine running too rich, start by replacing the air filter and plug and try again.

Why is it that the spark plugs keep over loading with carbon on a 1995 maxima

I would suspect low ignition spark as a start. A hot ignition 40-60KV will burn carbon off plugs. You may have the wrong plugs or they may be improperly gaped. Also I would take a second look at where I was buying my fuel, if all other things are in tolerance ie~ plugs, wires, Distributor cap and your ignition is running hot enough then fuel is all that's left. Well, not really but I'm not really including this in the problem, However, if your engine is wore out and the rings are letting oil past them (smoking) then no ignition system will burn it. get rid of it! Also you might want to take it out and find a place and kick it wide open and blow all the carbon and other deposits out. aka , blowing the soot out of it. I think I would start with the last one first and do it in a manner not to exceed the speed limit or constitute wreckless driving.

Hello: Remove the ducting going from the air cleaner to the throttle plate, clean the carbon off the throttle plate and the throttle body bore. Do not spray excess carb cleaner into the throttle body. Hold the throttle plate open with your hand and spray carb cleaner on a soft rag and clean off carbon. When finished key on engine off for 10 seconds key off for 10 seconds do this a total of three tines.

Engine seems to be missing

it sounds right, it is called a light load miss. it occurs mostly at 45-50 mph on slight incline and it feels like a bucking or hesitation. It commonly ocurs when there is carbon tracking on a spark plug porcelin (sp) . note . if the porcelin has carbon tracking so does the plug wire boot. the spark will travel through the carbon track in teh boot after plug replacement causing premature failure of the plug. it is a good idea to replace plugs and wires if this is the cause of your miss.
