Where do i enter my code

namastey! Choose a convenient location to begin installing your router such as an open floor space or table. This does not need to be the permanent location of the device. Particularly for wireless routers, you may find it necessary to re-position the unit after installing it as the cables / signals may not reach all areas needed.

Plug in the router's electrical power source, thenturn on the router by pushing the power button.

(Optional) Connect your Internet modem to the router. Most network modems connect via anEthernet cable but USB connections. After connecting the cable, be sure to power cycle (turn off and turn back on) the modem to ensure the router recognizes it.

Connect one computer to the router. Even if the router is a wireless model, connect this first computer to the router via a network cable.

Open the router's administration tool. From the computer connected to the router, first open your Web browser. Then enter the router's address for network administration in the Web address field and hit return to reach the router's home page.

log on the router. enter your username and password

If you want your router to connect to the Internet, you must enter Internet connection information into that section of the router's configuration (exact location varies). If using DSLInternet, you may need to enter the PPPoEusername and password. Likewise, if you have been issued a static IP address by your provider (you would need to have requested it), the static IP fields (including network mask and gateway) given to you by the provider must also must be set in the router.

If this is a wireless router, change the network name (often called SSID). While the router comes to you with a network name set at the factory, you will never want to use this name on your network. Read How to Change the Router SSID for detailed instructions.

Verify the network connection is working between your one computer and the router. To do this, you must confirmed that the computer has received IP address information from the router.

Verify your one computer can connect to the Internet

Connect additional computers to the router

Finally, configure additional network security features as desired to guard your systems against Internet attackers.

After moving to a new house/ new state, I can not get my HP 2035n to connect wirelessly to the router. It will print from any of our computers, but must stay connected to the router. I can find no...

The HP P2035N doesn't have a built-in wireless ethernet connection. It has a wired ethernet port. To connect to a wireless router, you need the HP Jetdirect ew2400 802.11g Wireless Print Server or the HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit or a similar device (note: not all third-party wireless print servers will work with the HP printer). Did you have something like this and misplace it during your move? If you did, try to find the print server to use the wireless option. Otherwise, continue wired ethernet option since it is working.

HP support for the printer (manuals, set up infomation, and drivers) is available here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3662025&lang=en&cc=us .

I hope this helps.

How can I know my router's security password?

Not quite clear as to your problem. Are you trying to access the web-based configuration page for the router (for which you need an administrator password)? Or are you trying to make a wireless connection to the Internet via the router (for which you need the wireless security key)?

Those are two separate passwords, and you may be able to retrieve them both. The administrator password would be stored in the computer that was used to configure the router. The security key should be in the computer which configured the router, as well as any computer which made a wireless connection to the router.

If the passwords are stored, you should be able to retrieve them by installing some additional software.

For the computer that configured the router, download and install this program:

For a laptop that connected to the router, download and install this program:

Wont allow me to connect 2 additional computers and need pin name or number

Two methods to solve your problem:
Method 1:
(1) Using your currently connected and working computers, access the wireless router security page at 192.168.1.1 (page 8 of 44 from the WRT54G2 manual), default password "admin" (page 7 of 44 from the WRT54G2 manual)
PDF file of the Linksys/Cisco Wireless-G Broadband Router User Guide:
http://belkashop.com.ua/products_files/WRT54G2_V10_EN.pdf
You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view/print this file - free from www.adobe.com
(2) get the WEP or WPA password, and enter it into the wireless LAN (WLAN) settings on your 2 additional computers.

Method 2:
Alternatively, access the WEP or WPA key on one of your working PC, by
(1) make sure the printer is working, powered up and online.
(2) invoke "Network Setup Wizard"
(3) wind thru various steps (click-ing NEXT), then select "Print Network Settings"
(4) use the printed WEP or WPA key in the WLAN settings on your additional 2 PCs.

I am a 14 year child i am having a imation pendrive in which half of the space is of password . i lost my password icon so what should i do?

What you have to do is reinstall the password secure software that was on your pen drive so you can access your secure files again.

You can find the applications for Imation's flash drives here:

http://www.imation.com/en-us/Support/Drivers--Downloads/USB-Flash-Drives-Software-and-Drivers1/USB-Flash-Drive-Software-and-Downloads/

Just download it, then run the file and make sure you have the drive plugged into the computer.

Make sure you download the software for the flash drive you have, since there are different models on that web site. For additional information contact Imation at 1-800-351-8186 or email them to techsupport@imation.com
