Question about Whirlpool Gold White-on-White 21.9 cu. ft. Conquest Side-By-Side Refrigerator with Ice and Water GD2SHAXLQ Side by Side Refrigerator
I am trying to find the filter in this refrigerator but not able to. I moved into this house recently so not sure about any history of the refrigerator. I looked online and according to all sources the filter should be behind the grill in the bottom but when I open it, there is nothing there. Is it possible that the refrigerator has been running without any filter cartridge? Any help would be much appreciated.
it says the filter is down on the bottom just like in this diagram, the model number you sent isn't the full number,if you open the fridge door and look on the right hand wall up near the ceiling there should be a tag there with the full model number,if it's an older unit it could be down near the bottom fridge door hinge, send the number back and i can check it for you.

Hi, The filter is located behind the kickplate. You can see the handle for the filter in the kick plate. I believe you turn the filter handle Counter clock wise to remove it. It will tke a little bit of force. Yes this filters the water in the door.
Let me know If I canassist you further. Thanks
