Hi, If your DVD with same AV cord working fine on another TV then its a problem of cold soldering of video pin that needs touch up soldering. And tv work fine again. Thanks for using fixya.
That sounds like a dead battery. The ticking sound is the relay (a type of switch) which enables power to the starter motor when you turn the key.
If the battery is weak, the relay will click, but there is not enough power to turn the starter motor.
