most hondas have a fuel tap near the carbie.hondas need full choke, before theyll start.connect the water to the pump[so you dont damage the pump trying to start it],then release the trigger, releasing the pressure, full choke, full throttle, fresh fuel, should go.you dont need a carb kit, most of the seals are rubber o rings, take bowl off, reove main jet,and take out emulsifier tube, clean small holes with fine wire, etc, and reassemble.good luck

Your engine produces max horsepower at 3600 rpm. The engine throttle should be set to max before you pull trigger. Pressure washes generally do not have automatic throttle. You do not have to use max power, but enough power to keep the engine running when trigger is pulled. You washer will actually last longer if you only use about 75% of rated capacity. Good luck

My honda xr2600 pressure washer stops running when i pull the trigger

check for a blocked main jet in the carby
the principle is that when the trigger is released there is no pressure in the pump so the engine is idling
when the trigger is pulled the pressure control valve closes the bypass back to the pump and so the motor is loaded up if there is a problem in the carby ,then the motor will stall

XR2600, runs fine pressure will not pick up, engine will not raise in rpms, when I force the throttle it back fires.

If you only have line pressure you probably have a stuck open bypass or unloader valve.

the unloader is usually on the pump body and can be taken apart and cleaned and lightly greased with a little silicone grease to keep it limber.

I hope this helps!

I need a manual for the xr2600 serial #244129311

http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/Detail?isId=true&productNumber=XR2600&selectedType=13543

Above is the link you will need to download your manual. There is a product recall on your pressure washer, and you might want to contact Black and Decker in regards to it. As you did not post a Type Number, I chose the unit without one. The picture below will show you where to click.

Excell pressure washers used a series of numbers such as yours. I believe that that number will be for pump or pressure washer as a whole unit. Check Excell web site for a match. If you are looking for the engine model number check the fan shroud or valve cover or tag on engine itself. Good luck

If it's been sitting for 3 years most likely the carb is gummed up. If it's getting spark, you could try a small shot of starting fluid into the carb. If it runs on this you know it's a fuel problem. Best bet would get all the MOTOR data, and buy a carb kit from you local lawn and garden equipment parts supplier. . Remove carburator and clean and install kit. Use sta-bil when you put it away next time, but even that only works about a year or so.
