Question about HP LaserJet 4L Printer

Won't Print Just retrieved my Laserjet 4L from storage, but cannot get it to print. Went through all of the troubleshooting solutions, none of which work. If I hold the button down, it will print the info page, but I cannot get it to print from my computer. Tried replacing the cable, to no avail. Any other suggestions, or is it time to trash it?

Usb or Parallel cable? if USB the computer should say new hardware found. If Parallel the should be checked to see if enabled.

Won't print from computer
Try borrowing another suitable printer lead and test with that. If the printer can do a self test, it is likely the printer is not the problem. If that does not work, if you can, use another printer with your computer - but set it up first. Failing that come back for more help

HP LaserJet 4L quit working It's connected to my PC and it's on. All 4 lights are on; 2 green and 2 orange. When I try to print, the paper goes through but nothing is printed on the paper.
Empty cartridge maybe?
Otherwise it's simple: selt-test page(by printer button) printed ok - it's outer problem. Self-page is blank - it's inner problem. And so on... use Golden Section method

I cannot print a document from my Asus eee pc 900 series using HP Laserjet 4L - it prints test page only. I also have Canon BJC-100 and it won't even print a test page from that.

The image drum is not getting the correct signal at the correct time. It is time to retire the 4L and replace it with a newer, faster LaserJet. You'll be glad you did.

HP laserjet 4L paper jam after printing one page.
You need the pick up rollers replaced. Call your service centre to replace pick rollers as these are feeding the pages crocked

HP Laser 4L driver for USB port
Not all USB adapters are the same, you need the one that is made for your printer, I would try a different adapter before going too deep, because when you plug it in your computer should see it even without drivers.

HP laserjet 4L wont print from computer
Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Windows operting system have the printer drivers. you don't need to download it.
