45 year old Slide projector

Ask around your local photo shops for a guy with a long grey beard to ask.

You could try advertising for an instruction book on your local freecycle and if Hanimex is still in business they might help you.

Some of those slide projectors were intuitive as they were completely manual but there were also magazine load, semi-auto and fully automatic versions that could also have a recorded commentary and backing music synchronised to the slide show.

Best of luck friend, have lots of fun with it.

All slides are fuzzy on my hanimex Rondette 1500 RF

If it is fair to make the assumption that the projector focussed slides correctly in the past,m then here are my suggestions:
- More than likely there is probably one of the optical components missing or out of position.
- The other thing that could be affecting focus is that the projector is too close to the screen, I would open the compartment where the optical components are located and check for proper position and cleanliness.
Good Luck !! jim

The slides appear to be dropping to far down so when viewed you see the top of slide (cardboard) and top half of picture- thi swas given to me used and I dont have a book - it is 300AF

Try using a full thickness plastic slide mount. Some card slides are so thin that they miss the slide support when being dropped down from the magazine. Some magazines are designed specifically for card mounted slides whilst other are for glass mounted slides. Types shouldn't be mixed for correct and consistent operation.

I have Hanimex Rondex 120 rotary magazines. I was told these would work in the Vivitar 5000AF. Is this true, as the slide on mine is jamming on the return?

I have a VIVITAR 5000 AF slide projector.

Occasionally, the slide gets stuck while operating the mechanical hand to change the slide. Most of the time it works when I push the slide carrier by hand. Very very infrequently, the projector actually throws out the slide.
I have ascertained that teh Kodak slides which are mounted on paper frames are much too thin for the mechanical hand pushing teh slide in and out. The solution is to remount teh slides on palstic frames or some how add to the thickness of the slide. I have not tried it yet , though.

Any more ideas?

Epson projector from computer & powerpoint

You need a wireless presentation remote that has a transmitter that plugs in to the back of the computer. This can be used to advance the slides. Make sure you get one that states the distance you need.

Let me know if that helps.
