HI,

I TALKED TO MY SISTER WHICH IS AN INSPECTOR FOR WEEDEATER COMPANY SHE TOLD ME IT HAS CLOGGED FUEL LINE OR THE TANK IS DIRTY. ALSO CHECK THE PRIMER BULB FOR HARDNESS OR CRACKING THIS ALSO CAN ALLOW A LEAN OUT CONDITION YOU ARE EXPERIENCING. EMPTY THE TANK AND WASH IT OUT WITH FRESH GASOLINE. SETTING FOR THE IDLE SCREW IS 1.5 TO 2 TURNS OUT WHEN TURNED OFF AND FULL THROTTLE SETTING IS HOLD THE THROTTLE WIDE OPEN AND TURN THE SCREW IN UNTIL MAXIMUM RPM IS ACHIEVED. HOPE THIS HELPS GOOD LUCK!

How to start

Full choke until it tries to start, half choke until it does, and once it's running, open the choke fully and wait a few seconds for it to warm up before using it, as well as 15-20 seconds to let it cool down before shutting it off so as not to warp any metal parts of the engine

What is the correct choke position (close/half open/open) AFTER successfuly starting a chainsaw on a half open? (Mcculloch M4620)

Once started and warmed up, then replace choke to run position. The choke will be completely open (non-restrictive).
