SOURCE: Our elementary school has this
THAT IS CORRECT 3 TO 1 CORN/OIL RATIO. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WHEN YOU SWITCH TO CORN OIL IT IS MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO CLEAN UP AFTERWARDS AND YOU WILL NOTICE THE KETTLE WILL GET A LOT MORE BLACK CARBON BUILD UP ON IT. CORN OIL HAS A LOWER BURNING TEMP AND YOUR RISK OF FIRE WITH A FAILED THERMOSTAT IS MUCH GREATER ALSO. COCONUT OIL IS A FAR SUPERIOR OIL TO USE FOR POPPING AND FOR THE SMALL AMOUNT ONE IS INJESTING IN A SINGLE SERVING OF POPPED CORN IS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR HARMFULL TO SOMEONE VS. CORN OIL IN MY OPINION. DO SOME RESEARCH ON IT . THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR WARNINGS ABOUT IT SINCE THE 80'S WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN ALMOST OVER NIGHT ALL THE THEATRES QUIT USING IT CUS OF REPORTS SAYING IT WAS SO UNHEALTHY. IT WAS A BUNCH OF BS. I HAVE SEEN ORGANIC COCONUT OIL IN THE SU PER MARKET GOING FOR AS MUCH AS 15.00 FOR A SMALL 16oz JAR IN THE HEALTH FOOD SECTION NOW !!!! FIGURE THAT OUT IF YOU CAN ??
