Keyboard works then doesn't

Can you still make/receive phone calls and send/receive text messaging without pictures? Do you have enough signal strength (3G or 4G bars at top) to get a good signal without roaming?
When I was in Greenville a while back, I had problems doing anything other than making/receiving phone calls (no internet, no pix). Ends up, AT&T simply had a very weak signal where I was at. I ended up switching to another phone and carrier that had better support in more areas.


I'd recommend calling AT&T cell phone support to also make sure your data (internet) and messaging (text&pix) plans are still active.
Of course, if you can't even make/receive phone calls, you likely have a more basic problem; your phone may have not been validated with AT&T yet.

In either case I'd recommend calling AT&T wireless tech support at 800-331-0500 (type 0 to get a live person) to help troubleshoot the issue with your phone. If you haven't received your phone number yet, you may need to remove the battery to provide them will more detailed info regarding your phone and sim.

First make sure you have the SMS feature on your phone. Who's your wireless carrier? Sometimes the wireless carriers have network problems and interfere with sending messages. Also make sure person you are trying to message can also receive messages.You can turn cell off then on again and wait a bit and try again.I go through the same thing every now and then when person I am trying to message doesn't have any minutes on their phone.Just try again in a little while. In order for you to send/receive pictures, your MMS must be activated. You use GPRS for internet and MMS for sending/receiving multimedia messages. Call your mobile service provider to activate it.

It's called a delivery receipt\confirmation.

Depending on the setting on your phone, your carrier and what carrier you are sending to, you may or may not get them from a successful SMS.

Many phones have settings to turn it off...

for sending text messages :
1. call to your network operator customer care
2. request the message center number...
3.note it down
4. go to message settings>message center number
5. insert the number which is noted by you and save it
this solves your messaging problem ...

Im presuming you are refering to multimedia messages (as opposed to basic text messages)?
Call your carrier / service provider and ask them to send you mms settings via sms.
You will not be able to send any multimedia messages without the correct settings.

I have run into this problem a few times. So far, the first time I had to cold reboot the phone to factory settings. The second time, I noticed that it seems like a txt message is stuck, so I called the person and had them send a second message to push the first one through. This seem to correct it a bit. I then too out the battery and the sim card and restarted the phone without the sim card. Made sure that the contacts were all there, synced it and then put back the sim card for operation. So far so good.
I also checked, and found out that my sim card is still Cingular, which might also be a problem so I am going to change it for an AT&T one to see if it finalizes the solution.

remove the battery, go outside and put the battery back in, this will reconnect you to the strongest local network.
