Can i reset to the original settings of my crt tv pensonic HG-2165FLT

You have to enter its service mode to make a reset. There are two ways to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Your problem is with the tv tuner. Use a vcr tuner connected to your antenna, connect vcr to tv set video input and you have a working tv for normal reception.

May someone please send the service mode specifications for a Samsung LED 40 inch TV UA40EH5000R?

I don't have service mode specifications but I do have a Samsung and looked around for how to get it in service mode some time ago because the HDMI cables somehow disconnected themselves a lot. Thought it was an electronic problem but it turned out to be a parenting problem instead SO I have never used this information and can not vouch for it. I cut and paste it from a note I copied from a forum entry to use at your discretion:
First post:
To enter "Service Mode" Press the remote - control keys in this sequence :
From Standby Info-Menu-Mute-Power On
- The buttons are active in the service mode.
Remote - Control Key : Power, Arrow Up, Arrow Down, Arrow Left, Arrow Right, Menu, Enter, Number Key(0~9)
Careful though there are things you shouldn't touch in this menu.

Another post:
Method 1
Put TV on standby and then push in series these buttons on the remote: 'info, menu, mute, power' the TV will then turn itself on and display a menu.
Method 2
Turn the power off. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 8, 2, Power in sequence.
Method 3
With the TV in standby, press the {DISPLAY} {P.STD} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 4
With the TV in standby, press the {SLEEP} {P.STD} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 5
With the TV in standby, press the {DISPLAY} {MENU} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 6
With the TV in standby. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 1, 9, Enter in sequence.
Samsung LCD Monitor Service Menu Instructions

End quote.
Good luck. Just a basic suggestion you probably don't need: keep track of any changes made by writing them down so you can put it all back if you have to.

One horizontal line on TV

Either bad solder connections on the vertical output IC or bad part in that circuit, IC or something else. I presume it is NOT a flat panel set but has a picture tube as no model number is listed.

If your computer is a desktop and using CRT monitor it will consume 60 to 250 watts when being use. But if in standby mode or sleep mode it only uses 1 to 6 watts. A typical CRT 17" monitor is consuming 80 watts and the 17" LCD monitor is consuming 35 watts it defends on the type of unit is being used. hope this may help good day and best regards.

Projection TV Phillps 60PP9202/17F, bought 2004. Was watching and suddenly the picture went out. All connections are good and components work. Can you help?

Hi.

If there is no power at all, then it is either the power cord or power board inside the TV.

If after the fault the TV went in standby and does not wake up, then the TV is in protect mode.

In protect mode higher voltages from PSU gets shut down and TV remains in standby.(see also Why my TV does not start up and remains in...)

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so. Then connect powr

If that does not work, and you keep having the TV in protect mode, it means that there is a fault.

In that case call the support number listed on Philips user manual to arrange repair.

If you are a technician I can try locating parts, service manual and giving more directions. Common faults that affect a Philips rear projections are convergence, PSU board, lamp and ballast assembly.

Regards.
