What is the correct fuel/oil mixture for an older Eager ****** 16 inch chain saw?

It really depends on the model number of your Eager Beav er unit. Anything within the last 6 years is 50 to 1 older models can be anywhere from 25 to 1, to 32 - 1 up to 40 - 1. t all depends on the model number.

The usual fuel mixture is 40 - 1 or 3.2 oz. per gallon.

Your chain saw would have to be pre-1995 to use a mixture greater than 40-1. If your chain saw is other than that then use a 32 - 1 ratio. 4.oz per gal.

This is a great fuel mixture calculator:

How to adjust carby settings after rebuilding. McCulloch Eager Be

Turn both jet needles CW to stops (lightly), then back out each CCW 1-1/2 turns. This is a basic setting that should allow the engine to start and run. Start the engine and allow to warm up, then pull throttle full on. Adjust H needle CW until the engine starts to speed up, but continues to 4-stroke. Proper setting is when the engine 4-strokes unloaded, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L needle CW for better idle, yet allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust idle speed screw so that the chain stops turning, but the engine continues to run. Hope this helps!

Fuel mixture for Eager ****** 2.0 CID

40:1 is the proper ratio of fuel to oil mix. Mix the fuel and oil in it's own can and be sure shake the can thoroughly just before filling the saw each time. Be sure to use a modern synthetic oil made for saw use and fresh gasoline. Hope this helps!
