Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: TV won't recognize PC through HDMI port anymore

Thanks for all the background, super detailed! I had a similar problem on a new Samsung that was really flaky with my HDMI from a raspberry pi. Would have to do all kinds of unplugging, cycling power etc like you're doing to get it to work. Once on it would work until I turned the tv off (actually doesn't turn off, but goes to sleep) and back on. Finally figured out that the resolution I was outputting wasn't supported, BUT sometimes it would work. Once I changed the resolution to a supported resolution it worked all the time.

My lg plasma Tv hdmi ports will not work?

Have you tried different HDMI cables?
Have you tried switching the ends around?
Are you sure you changed your TV inputs to the correct one?
Not all LG TV's will sense an HDMI connection and offer to switch to the new input.

I know it sounds ridiculous but I had an HDMI Cable break just sitting there. Also they now have HDMI Cable that are Unidirectional, you can plug them in backwards.

Why doesn't my Emerson lf501em4f not recognize cable box HDMI?

Several things may be happening. Most likely, you need to adjust settings on the cable box for HDMI output rather than component or composite RCA. The same may be true for the TV. Did you check your input source setting on the TV? Also, go into the Video Settings menu and see if the TV asks for types of cable input for video, and audio settings for audio input from the HDMI.

I have plugged my laptop to my T.V. with the DX-AV08A cable How do I make the laptop go to the T.V. now?

Try rebooting your computer while the cable is plugged in and the television is on. If the T.V. is plug and play, this should get your computer to recognize the T.V. and install the necessary driver. Be sure you have internet connection so it can download the driver if needed

Hook up xbox 360 tv

What kind of receiver? Do you have anything else like DVD player going thru receiver? My receiver has 3 hdmi in and 1 out (to tv) so all those equipment would just go to "hdmi" on tv.
Another way to do it is put your tv on exterior audio... for all sound to go thru your receiver.

TV doesn't recognize HDMI with Roku

The Roku is the problem, not the TV. You need to go to the Roku site and request download information to synch the Roku to an HDMI input.

HDMI for laptop Compaq no sound

Hello ahmselem,

There are a couple of things to try.
  1. Open up your sound display on your laptop, and make sure that the computer recognizes the HDMI port out. If your laptop came with the port, then your computer would recognize that the port is there only if you have the correct drivers installed on the laptop. You can check that in your control panel/system/hardware devices. Look for Ports and make sure that their is no triangle with an ! in it.
  2. If your computer is set correctly, then you need to make sure that your TV is set correctly. Sometimes (I'm not a TV Expert) the TV need to be configured to each port. Especially if your using a receiver. So if your TV is on the correct input channel, look at the TV's options for audio, and make sure it recongnizes that port as HDMI.
  3. To test to see if the HDMI cable is bad, take a single multi audio plug and place it into the Headset plug on the laptop, and put the other side, which should be either a red and white plug, or compoment audio plugs, and plug those into another port completely, and switch the TV over to that port, to see if you here sound.
  4. If all those fail, then test the outbound port on the laptop, by pluging the HDMI into your DVD player (if you have one) and it will pass the sound through to the TV.
  5. Without knowing your TV, and coupled with my TV lack of knowledge, I'd also suggest reading through the TV manual throughly to see if it's not some simple switch that needs to be flipped.

Good Luck

Mark
