SOURCE: plantronics headset

Some additional information may be helpful. Is this a USB device, a standard analog audio device with connectors like a headset for a radio or the electronic ones in airplanes or what (wireless)? I am familiar with a DSP-400 and the model number for these devices is on the bottom of a fairly sizable plastic box near (about 2 feet from) the USB adapter.

By having your microphone set to level D, try setting it on A while talking to someone who can here you while you switch through. Most systems are set to B for standard use. On the back of the unit is an up or down microphone, that would allow your voice to be made higher or lower.

Wife complains of echoing when listening to me on headset. Love the headset cause I'm hearing impaired.

Plantronics Voyager 510 echoing:

If the Plantronics Voyager 510 headset is being used with the base on a regular telephone, you can adjust the microphone volume on the bottom of the base unit.

If the Voyager 510 headset is being used with just a cell phone... unfortunately there aren't many adjustments. You may want to un-pair and delete the headset from the cell phone totally, and then re-pair it to the phone just to make sure that it has a strong link or connection.

Also just as a side note about Bluetooth headsets and cell phones. Typically the simpler the cell phone, the better the Bluetooth connection and quality.

I can hear callers but they cannot hear me. Mute is not engaged,

Please see the link below for the User's Guide.

• Headset is muted. Long press (3 sec.) the volume down button on headset to unmute the microphone. See page 16.
• Improper positioning of voice tube. Try various other positions.
• Voice tube may be clogged. Remove voice tube and test to see if callers can hear you without it. If they can, then replace the clogged voice tube. See page 18.
• Speaking volume is too low. Increase the speaking volume by
adjusting the speaking volume minor adjust buttons on the base unit as described on page 16. If the volume is still too low, select another speaking volume major adjust setting as described on page 16.
• Incorrect configuration dial setting for your phone. Try other
phone configuration dial settings on the base unit. Ensure the
selected number is in line with the position indicator. See page 14.

I have a CS361 plantronics wireless headset and I get alot of echoing when I get calls in and out, and when I call my coworker

Reduce speaking volume by changing the speaking volume
major adjust switch setting. See page 15 in the User's Guide (link below).
• Point microphone towards your chin.
• Listening volume too high on phone. If your phone has a handset
volume control, lower this until the distortion disappears.
• If the distortion is still present, lower the listening volume adjust
button on the headset. If the distortion persists, select another
listening volume major adjust switch setting. See page 14 in User's Guide.
• Base is too close to computer or phone. See page 9 in User's Guide for
proper positioning.

We have two headsets in the office Plantronics Supra CS351N - How do I cancel background noise. When the other user is talking my customer can hear it.

The CS351N is a noise canceling headset, one of the better ones at doing that and there is no special button to change that feature. You can try bringing the microphone closer to your mouth and bringing the volume down so the microphone is not as sensitive. You can try moving away from the other user (probably impractical) or ask them to tone down the volume.

We are experiencing interference on headsets when

You don't say what kind of interference you are experiencing. If it is humming, adjust the compatibility switch until the sound is clear. If the caller cannot hear your voice, make sure that the mute button is turned off (indicator off). Increase the outgoing volume by adjusting the speak volume. Adjust microphone closer to your mouth. Make sure the telephone handset hook is off the phone. Make sure all cables connections are correct and firmly in place.

Hi: We are senior citizens who are "sort of" computer literate. We just bought a Plantronics M214C headset and it looks fine but came with no instructions. I know it should be simple but we are not sure...

It has two sliding switches and a wheel type volume control on the cord. One Switch is a two position sensitivity/volume control for the microphone (high and low), and the other is a sliding microphone mute switch
