Operating Tempature error

When plug the hr10-250 in it seems like its going to start up fine, but then a screen comes up and says the reciever has been shut down because the tempature was too high. The fan is working perfectly and there is plenty of air flow. The receiver is stone cold but still comes up with this error. Any suggestions?

It could be 6.3a or b, they both had this issue sometimes. More likely, your motherboard and power supply are causing the problem. I would send it out for repair to ccs.

This indicates either the teperature sensor has gone bad or one of the components has developed what is called a hot spot and is shutting down because of that. Now if you own this deveice, not rent, but own it you could open it up and using freeze spray, hit each of the microprocessors and see which one eliminates the problem and either reapply heat sink paste or make sure proper contact with the heat sink is possible.

I have Vaio E-Series. I closed several programs quickly and now the "Logging Off..." screen has been up for an hour. The laptop will not shut down.

Go ahead and hold the power button down until it shuts off all the way. Unplug your laptop and remove the battery. Now hold the power button down for at least 30 seconds and release. Plug in the power cord but leave the battery out for now and turn it on. If you get a message when it starts up just choose to start normally. It should come right back on unless there is another problem that you haven't listed. Once it comes back on you can put your battery back in and all should be fine.

Guitar hero world tour, Ps3, when the wireless reciever is plugged in the guitar shows two lights on the strum bar...the ps button works and the controller allows me to quit the game/shut down system etc...

It seems that the recent PS3 Firmware update (2.80) reassigns your controllers. In order to fix this (I just did it 20 minutes ago and all is fine) is:
Go to the XMB "Settings" Menu.
Open "Accessory Settings"
Using the controller you want to reassign, open "Reassign Controllers"
Scroll to the number you want that controller to be (1,2,3 or 4)
You are good to go!

Thanks to the Phone Help at Activision for this fix!

The reciever just shuts down

The manual suggests disconnecting inputs and outputs and power, letting it sit for an hour, then plugging it back in and turning volume to max to see if it still shuts off. If it does, the problem is with the unit. If it doesn't, the problem is elsewhere.

Judging from some other sites, this is a common problem. If you take it to a dealer, suggest they check the AC input. Before anything else, make sure that there are no stray wires on your speakers connecting the positive and negative clips, which will cause a short and activate the amp protection.

I had the same problem with an Onky502 and replaced it today with an Onkyo606. It worked fine for an hour then started shutting off automatically. I'm following the manual and letting it cool off now for an hour, and meantime I'll check my speakers.

Re: Denon AVR-1100 receiver Just powered it on after years of not being used, although I know it works just fine. Powers on fine, but the readout on the screen says "AUTO" (small) and "PROTECT" (large) and...

The receiver has gone into a protect mode because something is wrong and it shuts down to prevent further damage. Could be a power supply or output amp issue.

Monitor blackening out and sudenly shuting down...

Hello! Sorry to hear of the Tennis Ball Masacre. I believe your problem to be twofold in nature. First the glass in side of the LCD screen is very fragile and the tennis ball most likely ruptured it. the streaks are most likle the liquid crystal solution leaking out. the dark streaks represent the absence of the fluid. Secondly, the monitor shut down appears to be from the back light / inverter circuitry. Sounds like it may be time for a new display. $40 to $60 for the inverter board and $80 or more for a new display screen, you may as well go the couple of extra dollars and get a new monitor. Hope this puts it in perspective for you. Sorry it is so bleak!
