From previous experience, I would bet that the circuit board/ control panel is failing. The one I had leaked steam near the top of the unit and the condensation will work it's way into the top control panel. Bad design on Haier's part. The worst part about mine was there is no adjustment for the door. I ended up getting a refund on the unit and buying a very nice LG model. Good luck dealing with Haier. They will send A&E factory Service out and they are not very good. I would suggest getting rid of the Haier. (personal opinion)
That is: Start: Control Panels Click the icon with a clock in front of the globe Click the icon with a clock in front of the globe, again Click the third-from-the-left tab Click the big button The first thing that pops up has a language selector. See if you can pick out English (United States).
If not, click in the section underneath -- click the topmost button, which is to add a new language.
