Try connecting a usb keyboard and type to see if it types double then to see if its hardware or software. If it types ok then its probably hardware and you should replace it.

Sensitive j key

Hello there,

you can adjust sensitivity of your keyboard in Control Panel -> Keyboard.

If this is happening just with the J key, there might be some hardware issue with that(broken key). Try to replace it.

Hope this helps

While typing keyboard letters ,it is typed double letters

Go under CONTROL PANEL then KEYBOARD and adjust the sensitivity. It is probably set too high, thus repeating keystrokes.

The keyboard is super sensitive making it impossible to type without many many errors. Is there any way to harden the keyboard?

In your control panel, you should be able to access keyboard settings and adjust the repeat delay rate for keystrokes as well as the delay before the repeat starts.

Touch pad too sensitive, it always messes me up when I'm typing

You could try adjust the touchpad settings. Sometimes there is a touchpad icon in the taskbar that you can right click on to adjust the properties. You can also disable the pad and use a USB mouse instead.

Toshiba keyboard problem with window vista enterprise

I have seen this before.

Either you are touching the touchpad with your palms as you type, or the touchpad is set to be very sensitive. Either way, you should reduce the sensitivity of the touchpad. Go into the control panel, and go into the mouse properties. On the hardware tab, you should be able to find advanced properties and the sensitivity adjustment. Move the slider to the left to reduce sensitivity. If you stroke the pad very very gently with your finger, the cursor should not move at all. adjust sensitivity until this happens.

Reduce the sensitivity until the cursor stops jumping. This will fix it. :)

Key types twice on Hp pavilion labtop

If you go to start > (settings) > control panel.

Switch to classic display if applicable.

Select the keyboard icon and you can adjust the sensitivity. This will only work for all the keys but might help you.
