I have inserted an sd memory card but it still appears to be taking only 13 photos and keeping them stored on the internal memory instead of sd memory card.
Is there something you have to alter to enable the camera to save to sd memory?
I don't know your camera; but...
Before we assume anything about your camera we should check that SD card in another SD device that we know is working.
your camera should default to the SD Card like most devices, which are able to use both simultaneously.
It seems likely that something might have happened to the SD card if that is the only one you have tried in your camera.

It appears the photos are stored on the internal memory in the camers and this us usually a small memory. You most likely need to insert a large SD memory card in your camera say 8 to 16Gb or more depending upon your requirements..
Remove the SD memory card from the camera, go into menu and locate "format" follow the prompt to remove all photo's from the internal memory, when completed install the SD card back in the camera to resume normal operation.
To switch the photos from internal memory to a memory card follow the given steps:-

Your camera has a memory card slot that enables you to insert any "SD" compatible memory card up to 8BG. Adding a memory card will allow you to increase the capacity of your camera before you have to transfer photos and videos to your PC. Install the SD memory card as below:
Locate the Memory Card slot within the battery compartment.
Insert the Memory card into the slot in the correct direction. (see the sketch below)
Push the card in until you feel it "click" into position. The top of the card should be flushed with the surface of the camera. An icon will appear on the LCD screen after you turn on your camera.
Once the external memory card is inserted into the camera all the images taken with the camera will be stored on the card.
Limited internal memory is provided for test images. The image will be deleted when camera power is turned off. Please download the images before power off .SD memory card is required for normal use.
An external memory card is required for normal use. Your camera supports any compatible SD memory card (up to 8GB).
If there is a photo in the internal memory when you insert the card into your camera, a "Copy to card" message will appear on the LCD with Yes or No options. On selecting 'Yes' the photo will now be copied to your card.
Formatting will delete all data on the SD memory card including protected data.
Don't remove the SD card during formatting as this may damage the card and render it unusable.
When your card is full, download the media on the SD card to your PC and delete the photos and videos from it in order to continue using your
I also have a vivicam 7025, with the same problem, when I insert the SD card, first it recognises that a card has been inserted but then it says its going back to internal memory. I can't take any photo's and am VERY frustrated!!! Did you find out how to sort yours out?
Hello. You can either transfer your pictures to a computer with a usb cable or insert a sd memory card to to store more pictures. If you have a memory card look in your menu settings for the option to copy internal memory to memory card. Another option,if you have a usb cable is to go to a photo center at a department store or drug store and plug the camera into one of thier photo machines. You can then print or copy pictures to CD. Store workers can usually help you with this.

Internal memory is full as you have been saving pictures there rather than your card. Have you checked those are not your missing photos? Get a new sd card for your camera-I keep 3 cards for mine so that I don't need to delete anything for ages. I back up all photos to pc. The photos on your internal memory can be copied onto your new sd card when you insert it. When you are certain they are on the card AND backed up on the pc then you can delete them from the internal memory.Try mrnu>image storage. On your internal memory there will be an option to copy the photos to a card when you have one in your camera. Do check the internal memory-it is full of pictures-they may be the ones you want!
