Question about Westinghouse LTV-32w3 HD Television
Woke up one morning and turned the t.v. on. The blue light on the side panel appeared; however, there was only a blank screen - no picture. The audio worked perfectly. I unplugged the t.v. and let it sit for half an hour. I turned it back on, and again, the same problem: perfect sound, no picture. Utilizing the remote, I pressed attempted to turn the channel and select various menu options. Nothing ever appeared on screen. Can someone please help me?

I called westinghouse with a similar problem(my picture shows up but all the white turns blue or somtimes pink).
they say the problem is similar to that of the xbox 360's red ring of death problem. Now what needs to be done is the unit needs to be unplugged completely for about 30 minutes. this allows the unit to completely cool down. and when the unit restarts and heats up the troubled connections will reflow and all will be fixed.
I tried this and it worked well for my TV. but it is only a temp fix and will need to be done again if the problem occurs.

Try leaving the TV unpugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself.
If that doesn't work, most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.
I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

Hello, It seems you might have to replace the main board on your unit since the board is not booting up all the way and it is also jamming the signal. If you are interested in obtaning the part please email Westinghouse parts at parts@@wde.com for price and availability of the main board.
